Saboten - Made in Japan Trimming Scissors

My local grow shop (indoor farmer) replaced the beloved orange-handled Chikamasa’s with a new brand I’d never heard of before, Saboten:

I could definitely use another pair to keep one upstairs / one downstairs, so I bought them.

Looks like they are a quality piece of gear with some little improvements on the old orange Chikamasa’s - I guess noticeably that they’ve got repelling magnets built into the handle to give it a natural “snipping” motion after you press the handle, and they also have a clip to keep the scissors together if you wish. Other than that, they have black blades and my old Chikamasa’s were grey.

I chose the Angled Blades again because I love my existing angled Chikamasa’s sooooo much. They cost $35 CAD.

Movement is fluid, construction is solid, just curious if anyone has tried these out yet besides myself! Commentary good or bad etc, I just enjoy the conversation

Cheers ILGM!!!
