I have been growing for a couple years now and recently planted some northern lights autos from RQS. The size of both the seed and the plant is smaller than my previous autos from other companies and I was wondering if that is common? Both the smaller seed and the smaller plant.

Seeds are going to vary (referred to as phenotypes) just as children of the same parents vary.
Autos will vary far more than photos due to the ruderalis trait. Grow photoperiod plants if you want more consistent results. Autos sometimes produce runts.
The size of the seed has no meaning. This plant came from an exceptionally small seed. It is in a 10-gal pot for size reference.

Most of the people in my circle prefer smaller seeds over larger. The plants have so many variables that contribute to size it’s nearly impossible to say anything that would be repeatable. It’s very possible these genetics are slow growing but just as possible a dozen other things too.
