What a Difference a Day Makes… They’re Growing back what I Defoliated in a Day…
14 Hours Later… Just after Lights turned back On
These things are Jumping with the Super Soil and a Half tsp. of this Bloom Burst in the Water

I suggest you flower immediately things are going to get crowded FAST unless u got a bigger space because I suggest you keep the arms pulled to the side when the strech they will he all over each. Other take it from me I tried this and failed with bid rot
lost almost half the useable bud to bud rot czar I over crowded my room…had an ac unit dehumidifier running 24 7 and 2 fans still got bud rot… but that was my first run everThese Plants are Laid Down and Only Like 8" above the pots @fano_man and the lights have been flipped to 12:12 all week … I guess what you’re saying is that these buds aren’t just going to grow on the existing limbs they’re going to extend further upward by a good margin I’m just really interested in what’s going to happen to be honest with you no matter the outcome…
Exactly they will strech strait up from the structure u have the set at right now and as they do tie em out one more time so your lighting the side to the bud not directly up top
Makes em grow fatter earlyer
Should I put up My Scrog Net above the Plants @fano_man even though they’re So Small
I use soil meter to test PH and it will read different based on moisture content.
Very dry or very wet like just before needing watered or right after watering won’t give you accurate readings. Your soil is best to be tested when it’s in the middle range moisture wise.
I check them a day after watering and the top 3” reading will be the highest say around 6.8 then at 6” will be around 6.5 and at 9” will be around 6.2 or so. If I check when it’s too wet or too dry the same plant the readings won’t be the same. I have 2 of these meters so I am able to verify things if needed. I also have one of those $12 3 way meters and they will read very close to what the $50 meter reads as long as you take care of them and clean them after every use and not leave them in the soil too long they work fine you just need to make sure the moisture content is medium when checking. The wizard meter also has moisture check and as long as the moisture is in the 3-8 moisture range it reads fine.
When your done with your meter wipe it off clean and then use green scratch pad like for dishes etc and lightly clean off the probe top to bottom to keep it from oxidizing etc. I also give it a quick wipe with pad before using too.
Here is a link to a write up I did awhile back on soil meters.
Hope this helps with that part of your grow
Thanks @Skydiver… My Super Soil is low in PH and I Have Garden Lime to amend it with… I Guess it’s Ok to use that But there IS Some Hydrated Lime in it already Which the Guys Said isn’t what I Need to Use … Gonna figure How Much to put in This @pproximate Cubic Yard of SS that I Have had Made that is Aging… I Need to figure out How Much to put to Raise its PH like 1.3 points to Be above 6 …
Hydrated lime is a no no as far as I understand things.
Your plants to me look good. Not sure if changing things is the way to move forward as if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it.
Up to you
Can you take us through your process when testing soil PH
@Skydiver I wet the (Outside) Ground with 6.6+ PH water and Came back and Inserted the Meter which Read 5.0 (Was the Best Reading even After Adding 2 Tbsp. of Garden Lime Disolved in Water) … I then Added some 7+ water to My Grow Room and Measured them and the Best Reading was around 5 as Well… Run Off was Less than 5 too from the 7+ water Just Added checked with My PH Meter… Not the Dirt Probe Tester… I’m Sure that My Remaining SS will Need Garden Lime though… Probably a Half Pound for More than Half a Cubic Yard of the Super Soil that I Have Unused and Aging… How Long Does “Cooking Soil” take to Adjust PH with Garden Lime?? … Do You Know … Thanks
Sounds like your soil meter doesn’t work so I would set that aside if I were you and either get another one or go the run off water method but again to me they look like they are doing good. If it ain’t broke I wouldn’t try and fix it …unless you think you can repair the soil meter lol.
Have you calibrated your water PH pen lately?
Just amazing to me that IF the ph is really at 5.0 in soil and for run off that they are alive let alone doing well. Can you think of anything your using that would drive down PH so much?
If it is really 5 ph in soil what would I do…hmm
Mix bone meal powder in water and before that top dress with pulverized lime small amounts at first and adjust slowly over several weeks.
Even With the Drops of the PH stuff Method the Colors on the Chart are Consistent with the Readings that I Got Though?? … IDK … But My PH Meter Reads the Deepwell Water at 6.8 - 7.2 and The Dropper Method Also is Consistant with My Meter??
Hmm
Well if you want to slowly adjust the soil PH up over time and check it as you go trying for the 6.5 in living soil or the lower 5.8 or whatever it is for coco based go for it.
Do you have access to another soil or water meter to check. I know strips and they are ok used them with fish tanks so if that’s what it is you would want to raise it up. You might want to consider a back up meter Just for piece of mind
Again have you calibrated the meter recently? I would do it agin if o were you just to verify things.
I’m Not Messing with the Growing Plants @Skydiver… I’m just Talking about amending the SS that I will use Later… I wonder if you Thought I was Gonna do this on my Grow… They’re All Good imo
If your coming out way to low try and water at 7.0 with silica … silica isn’t very intrusive to ur soil it’s a non mobile element it gets uptake deposited in plant and stays the for life but it naturally raises ph of water maybe if u water with a dose of silica water u might get a high run iff … super soil is a great vase but by no means is it perfect and good for ever…lime is a buffer and takes a while to be reactive to the soil … so it’s hard to say have you googled “dolomite lime”… they have these reagent tests at lowest and home depot for soil …they can’t be wrong they will give a general color reading with will let you know how far your probe is off… it’s a little 2 x 3 canister one side holds like a cubic centimeter of dirt u bust open a reagent cap dump in onto the cubic centimeter in its chamber and add water to the recommended level… let its sit for recommended time and the color will precipitate out and there is color chart right next to the chamber to compare it to reagents dont lie it’s a chemical reaction so it can’t be wrong
Cool @fano_man !! … Next time I’m at Lowes I’ll get One Before I amend Anything Pal … I Defoliated this Morning in the Grow Room and got a Softball Size Heap of Leaves Off that were Shading the Lower Growth… Baby Girl is Lookin Good with these Hairy Bud Balls Everywhere
I just pulled a quarter lb of fans off yesterday on 3 plants wet of course but they all go into my freeze bags for qwiso …
What Do You DO With them @fano_man
I take all green plant matter put it in a trash bag wrap it up air tight dont tidbit you end up ripping it cuz u open and shut it about 1000 times but every leaf you pull off your supposed to get it out of the geoeye spacento be sanitary regardless it can cause mold …moisture up against anything can canmuse mold …anyway I save it up over a grow or 2 or who ever quickly I get about a 150 grams dryed and decarbed in the oven at 175 for 40 mins… then u could eat the this if you want to it’s not activated all the THCa to THC plus other beneficial cannabinoids since it’s from the whole plant it’s considered full spectrum it’s not an isolate which is like caviar Crystal’s which is just thca stuff like that… but after I decarb it its steerable for a while but I do qwiso extraction method theres bunch of ways to do it never use open flame when evaporating alchohol or any volatile substance …babooom!!.. if you look on my journal I posted a step by step I think…did I tag you in it?
