Resin Hairs with droplets

Your plants are packing on weight, this is a good thing. Happens to everyone in flower. You’ll just want to keep looking at the trichs to figure out when to harvest.

As far as the bud you already cut, the trichs aren’t changing because you already cut the bud off the plant. Whatever those trichs looked like the day you cut is what they will look like until the day you smoke.

Call me crazy but in my world things deteriorate! If amber trichomes means the trichs are actually past their prime, what keeps the resin from continuing to ripen or deteriorate? I do understand what you are saying and yes, that is consistent with what I am seeing on the buds I’ve cut. Seems like eventually all the trichs would become amber. I guess I’ve lost my mind but that’s old news.

Light will deteriorate your THC, and trichs. So that’s why we keep them in the dark. I thought the same thing as you dude, but in a thread posted a while back I brought this exact topic up and learned that only the pistils will continue to deteriorate, not the trichs.

I had thought that if you harvested when trichs were cloudy, that by the end of drying and curing they would be Amber. But that’s not the case. At least that’s what I was told, I never really looked into it after hearing that.

I could be completely wrong dude, and if so I apologize. But from what I’ve been told, the trichs shouldn’t degrade any from the day of harvest.

Now that you’re bringing this up I’ll have to do a test on the subject. I will check trichs at harvest, and then continue to check them each day after harvest. We’ll figure it out @Tarzan

These type of questions are personal preference type. I prefer a more amber/couch lock type of trichome. The more amber, the more couch lock. Most people just starting out I recommend 25%-50% amber. With more experience, harvest date can be adjusted to your desired preference.

I agree more of a personal preference if you don’t want a couchlock effect than wait for another 10% to Change amber

As for why they arent changing and ripening yet, that could be due to multiple reasons a few off the back is high heat as well as a brightly lit area. Those 2 things right off the back will help the buds keep producing, and also with that being said let them stay on a 10/14 for a descent week or 2 and that should help them change and ripen.

New buds coming on wont be as ripe or mature yet because they are lower and not to mention, they may not be getting full light like the other buds

I’ve been testing cutting early on a Hindu Kush and an ak49 all cloudy and I’m liking the effect. I’m high kinda couch and I still can do my life not locked in couch. It still knocks me out.
I only get what ever that dude has, so I don’t know what I like
So for me I’m playing around. My nla I’m going for more ambers.

Wait another 2-3 weeks, and see results than she’ll probably be ready
