For those that remove drivers and house outside of tent, what do you mount them on? I was worried about the heat they put off and attaching to wood/drywall. I have my 2 attached to a piece of aluminum and suspended from ceiling so they aren’t touching anything remotely flammable. I just am not sure if this is overkill.

You’re fine with mounting them directly to drywall. They don’t get nearly hot enough to cause damage. Mine are all mounted to drywall. But I have them loosely attached to allow air flow and get behind it. Not for worries of damage but to help keep the drivers cooler

i have mine mounted with rubber grommets under each corner. it keeps it raised of the board i use and gets good airflow.

Ace hardware sells some nylon bushings for under a dollar. I use them for heatsink mounted drivers all the time, they work great as stand off.

is that thing on the bottom of your board for insect control?

It’s actually on the wall he like others doesn’t keep his drivers on his board to help control heat.
Definitely for insects though

It’s just an LED to light up the room when the grow lights aren’t in there

I keep mine on racks and on top of old heat sinks with a fan blowing across them… it may not help extend their life but enough of them together can still produce some heat
