I’m sure you’ll get some girls to pop!
Update
Didn’t feel like photos this time about. But I removed the main plant from the grow area. 100% Confirmed male for sure. I transplanted the current baby to its own pot and it takes its place as the new main plant, and hope its OK and keeps on growing and be a lady.
I have also setup 6 out of the 12 slots in my seedling tray and a seed in each. so 6 out of the 24 seeds that look in good shape i collected are what i got left. there are a few others but they look cracked, and kinda flat so assuming they are not gonna be any good and took too much damage in processing. I will plant the rest at a later date if any of these pop, just in case i am suddenly overrun with a litter if i get lucky (lol), I dont have much space to work with.
So the first main plant I wont be updating on anymore, its gone from my project. But as you can see I am not done, so gonna keep posting when I can and remember too. I tend to loose track of time when i got some smoke.

If so collect the pollen and use if you want to breed seeds may not be fem seeds but you may end up with great cross breeds.Trying a little experiment myself with silver to try and breed female seeds in my grow. first time trying this so everything is a learning kerb.
I might try that someday to try all that but decided to hold off for now until i get better with basic growing skills. Then ill jump into the more complex stuff like that. I was just thinking about it until i recently got more seeds. but if they fail germinate and i do get this current baby to be a female the male still near by, I can harvest the pollen if i change my mind later. I never said i killed the male. Just removed from any further thought or mention (unless asked about it) and out of the grow space for now. Its just playing house plant decor sitting near a back tinted window.
But If i decide to breed if i get a female it be a hard thing to decide which to do first. because I wanna try cloning as well and rather do that with a plant not pollinated. So im more a less deciding what to do on the fly, But I am leaning towards cloning when i get my first healthy female plant. Maybe ill get into breeding later on when I get cloning down and can start with my successful clones.
Progress update.
Day 3 (I think… lol) Into the recent 6 germination’s i started.
I am seeing a successful germination already, with recent seed plantings from my most recent collection from the buds i got recently. So far I know of 1 thats for sure, hope it roots and grows. There maybe signs of couple more but cant tell for sure just yet. So things are looking up with these seeds already then the ones i begun with from day one.
My plant count may just go up.

We got lift off on a fresh healthy green baby. Do I count today as its birth seeing how its free of the seed entirely now or when i noticed it breaking free? In nature its once free of the egg. So Guess Ill say today the 23rd as its day of birth (it was still some what in the seed last night). Yay new baby!
So far still no other confirmed pops but 1 is better then none.

I have taken the newest baby out of the domed tray today and moved it into a little container for the next week before I move it into a larger container.
And their off!!

Oh lookie lookie at these two, its about to get intense. lol
Soon as the shells of the seeds fall off ill declare them new plants in my little plant family.
Once the male flowers it can contaminate you with pollen which could still pollinate your females. If you don’t plan on breeding yet, I suggest you kill him.
In my opinion, once a plant gets pollinated the quality of the bud diminishes for the entire plant. I can’t confirm that thought, but why risk it?
It’s your grow to do as you please, but I wanted to give you a heads up on the pollen…
@FloridaSon
As I reported later on, that the known male was removed from the project so its not even in the grow space. But where it is has already dropped couple pollen sacks. So I got it away in time. I havent decided if i wanna hold on and harvest the pollen for later breeding. Or hold till i get a good healthy female to clone, then get some colloidal silver to spray least one with for like a month to induce a female herm or female with male pollen sacks to breed one of the other female clones. To create feminized seeds, so i can start a surplus and store the seeds in event of something going wrong and loose my crop.
Even know I am growing to have something to help with my health, I am also interested in experimenting and learning different styles. So been doing more reading. Maybe come up with my own little pot bible called “Growing pot as a poor B@$tard” lol
p.s.
The new seeds to pop in my last post are already starting to grow more and stand up, but still have their seed shells on there heads. But wont be long at this rate. maybe another day.
Oppsies…
006’s life ended today, Both 005 and 006 started to grow too big for the dome tray or so i thought. but the dirt came apart during transplant, and while trying to replant the roots became detached. I should of kept them in the tray for another couple days or so to get stronger but it looked ready to me. They looked to be growing really at a good speed.
005’s transplant was so far without any issues. Bad luck just happens. Knowing my luck, it was female. lol
I may of gotten a hell marry on 006. When the roots became detached. I felt sure that it was killed. there was barely any white of the root left on it. Even know i reported its death. I went ahead and tried planting it anyways thinking “what the hell, might as well give it a go”. And moments ago as i type this. I see it standing up on its own again, still with a good color of green and leafs holding strong and not wilting.
The tough little baby seems to be fighting for its life. Ill keep on monitoring it and hope it pulls through and not annoy me by being another son. lol
this little error has allowed 005 to speed up ahead of it in terms of height. 006 is still very very short due to its trauma.

006 Left, and 005 right. Height diff thanks to my mistake. but 006 is still standing. ![]()
also on closer inspection as 003 matured, it looks nothing like marijuana. soil was fresh from the bag, no other seeds planted. idk where it came from. not sure what it is ether. Maybe a flower? Im allowing it to stay alive just because i wounder what it is. but noting smokeable. so its removed from the project officially.
– update Apr 6, 2017 –
006’s recovery seems to be taking a turn for the worse. It still stands but the leafs seem to lost there support. so its not looking good but still keeping an eye on it. but i expect it to die now for sure. Lasted 4 days and from what i can tell it did form new root systems, but very weak ones.
[Plant 005: Photo Apr 6, 2017]
Not really a progress update but more of a cheap and simple thing i might start doing. I cut this water bottle in 3 places, so the bottom holds the plant, and the middle cut away so the top snaps in place for a snug fit . The cap stays removed so it gets air, and hold moisture better so it dont dry out as quickly. not to mention with it clear, I can keep a better eye on the root system.
So when it starts to reach the outer edges thats when ill transplant it to a bigger pot before it gets root lock, and I get water in bottles all the time. I can just cut a side away from the bottle and easily slip it into a new pot without damage risk, and just grab another when im ready to plant more seeds.
Because my dome tray is a 3 piece. I can also remove the middle piece and place the bottle inside the dome and place the whole dome over them if i wanted also. but like in the photo I can give them each there own dome, so i might just toss my current dome tray.
As long as the roots are still there you still have a chance. We’ll call it an inadvertent root pruning. ![]()
It’s natural to see problems after root pruning since you usually trim above as well as below in that process. A little dose of Superthrive in a foliar spray may help. I’m not sure.
Unless it’s a male, I never give up on a plant until it’s dead…
Yeah i keep going back and forth on that. “its dying, watch it was female too” then it starts to look OK, “Its living, watching its going to be male…” lol
Half glass empty or full?
Pouring in or out?

@FloridaSon lol . I think i am going to like the use of the bottles from now on then my dome tray. Easy to transplant when its ready. and and the root system wont reach too deep into any places it can get caught. Like 006. In the dome tray its in 3 parts. a lower part for water run off, the next layer where the soil and seed is planted and then the dome. The root system had went right through the holes of the middle layer into the bottom. So it got stuck. which 006 dont look any better, its having a hard time staying up right. So i dont think its going to make it.
Here is another bundle of joy on the way. right from the bottle. I seem to be getting germination down OK. just need some females now and next will be cloning. I am so happy with this bundle of collected seeds from March’s stash i bought. My bills where less harsh this time around also so i spent little more for April this month. I was told it should have seeds in the buds as well. So we will see.

p.s… lovely setup they have here… i cant edit the OP anymore to keep it up to date. lovely forum you guys got. -.-
When I went to transplant my 5 plants I knocked one off the tray and the root ball completely exploded. Like literal boom style. It managed to come back just fine somehow.
