Im 2 weeks shy of 80 days growth with my white widow auto flower… all things seem perfect, but think i may be ready to harvest already… my concern is this… im starting to get “dead” spots in the plant… leaves are green, not yellow… for the most part tricombs are white, with some amber… but had two areas where the leaves and buds dried up and browned… im attaching some photos… hoping i can get some advise from the pros out there. Thanks in advance.
This is my opinion amd mine only, im sure others will agree. I dont see any actual “bud” growth. All i see zoomed in is a bunch of calyxs with a few white hairs in there. I think the ruderalis trait was strong in this plant and it might not yield very much smokable bud. You could continue to grow it, harvest, then harvest the trichomes for hash. I might be wrong, ive never grown white widow, so that might just be the way the buds are. The autos ive grown ive had a few that the ruderalis trait was overpowering and i ended up hashing the plant. I hate to think this way, but im afraid its going to be true. @Autos-only@Cap_Ron@OGIncognito@Myfriendis410@GreggT
@ChittyChittyBangin Thank for insight… not the news i was hoping for but i appreciate it. Ill need to do some research on hashing i guess. Is there a way to recognize the ruderalis trait earlier on in the grow cycle?
Yeah, same here. It’s odd because I had never seen this before a month or two ago, but now we’ve seen probably 5 or 6 people have it happen just in the last few weeks.
If I have some time tomorrow I’ll try to look back and find the threads to see if there’s any commonality with breeders or strains.
Hi Gregg… any insite or references on how to “process” the plant to produce hash… this is my first time growing and to be honest im pretty disappointed, but would hate to waste the plant and at least get something for the effort. Thanks
I infuse olive or coconut nut oil and use the old school method using keef wrapped in a wet paper towel, parchment paper and tinfoil and heat, press, heat and repeat a lot for my hash
Damn outta likes. I’m not familiar with the method you described, but that’s nothing new. There’s lots a stuff I don’t know, but it sound too involved for me.
I grow autos…and @ least I photo a year…I too have had a few plants that start to foxtail…but nothing like @OldIslandBoy420 … This year has been a weird year for us Auto growers,Ive heard many having problems with small bonsai type plants this year I wish I knew…Maybe next season Ill grow more Photos and only a couple Autos…We shall see??
