Ready to harvest? And Harvest tips?

Newbie and I’m wondering if these girls are ready to harvest.

They are all Zkittles, feminized

I went to 12/12 cycle on Sept 13. (About ~7 weeks)

They look smaller then I expected but it’s my first grow so I’m not feeling certain about their readiness to harvest.

I agree. This plant could be ready for harvest but it’s really difficult to say for sure without close examination of trichomes.

TY, TY!! I’ll see if I can get some better photos; it’s definitely b/c I can’t keep my hand still. I need to rig something up, I’ll try tonight when the lights come on.

I managed to get these images. Are these close enough? What do you think :face_with_raised_eyebrow: thanks in advance for your feedback!

I would chop her. I personally like to let them rest and chill about 12 hours in darkness then chop them. just kind of how I do it… Its debated on if the rest peruod matters and some go even longer. I just l8ke to sneak up on em and make it quick lol

Hello All, question I started to cut these and maybe need another day or so. Should I leave them on the tray or jar then until I feel the rest are ready? I have my humidifier on and AC at 60.

@plumbdand sorry see post above
Still trying to figure out the posting.

100% by my observation. My girls smell strongest after a good night’s rest!

That said, I have tested extended darkness periods (24, 48, 72) before chop as well, but i don’t see any benefit to it personally.

I agree with others above. Your harvest window appears to be open (approx 2 weeks). I will add that the trichomes on the sugar leaves always mature faster than the bracts (aka calyx). When testing harvest readiness you’ll want to make sure you’re looking at the true flower parts…not just the sugar leaves.

Well done!

@Ds88 I dont understand your question

If they are still wet (sounds like you said they need an extra day drying) you don’t want to jar them…or at least don’t seal the jar.

The ones I cut on the tray was asking if O should put them in jars or leave them out?

Is it dry enough to put in jars after drying I always put mine in totes to let it sweat to even out the dryness throughout. Then in what ever container its gonna stay in either jars or grove bags.

Not sure if the link will work but these jewleres loopes work really good

Thank you for sharing your experience and personal expertise, Im sooo appreciative! Im feeling super nervous going into the harvest b/c I don’t want to f*ck them up after all this time and energy! I run my lights at night starting at 6pm which actually helps keep my basement warm :stuck_out_tongue: but that’s beside the point, so I’ll take the suggestion and start harvest in their ‘morning’ around 4/5pm. Thx!!

Thank you! Like I mentioned earlier my buds seem super small… I think I defoliated too soon and too much
Lesson learned for the next grow!
Now I’m wondering if the quality will be poor b/c they are small… I tend to be failure phobic, I think growing is going to help me get over that Ha!
