Questions about the ilgm nutrients

On the measurement guide for the nutrients it says e.c. and ppm. What is that for if it already says tsp per gal.?

Feed as necessary to achieve and maintain a runoff PPM of ~1,000. The equivalent EC to 1,000 PPM is an EC of 2.0. The tsp estimate is a good place to start, then adjust as necessary. Don’t worry if you are off by a few hundred PPM. You’ll get the hang of it over time.

The PPM recommendations vary on the Bergman’s chart, but many growers (self included) keep it simple and maintain that 1,000 PPM level throughout the grow cycle.

The EC and PPM are measurements of TDS, Total Dissolved Solids. They list these on the chart for mainly for hydro growers so they can maintain an exact nutrient level. And obviously they use the .50 multiplier for the PPM number.
