Questions about 1st and 3d weeks watering from newbie

so i transferred them to nice pots yesterday and my question remains the same:

what should i with them when i am leaving apartment for 5 days?

  1. I can leave under the daylight (it is grey this part of the year) and last only 8 hours.
  2. I can leave them in a bathroom with lights 24/7 during those 5 days.

What option is the best?

I do also understand know the watering and will add only a bit if the soil will be dry :slight_smile:

In 3 weeks they should be doing good for size and able to take more water in pot. So I would water and cover pots with saran wrap set where they will get the best light and go.
I am curious if you have plans on getting a grow light. I have to ask because they will not do well inside with only the light threw your window or the natural lighting of a house. Cannabis needs a specific light spectrum at higher intensity than that can provide.

I will do for sure. I plan to order in 1-2 days so when I come back I might have them delivered. I asked in another topic about lights, will be glad to hear your thoughts as well. My budget is $200 max unfortunately.

When you go away I would give them a drink before you go and leave the light on 24/7 while you’re away. They will be fine for 5 days in those pots and they should grow during that time.

thx, i also think is the only option. leaving them for 16h without lights is stupid

its gonna happen this week (tomorrow), they will be at the start of 3d week, not in 3 weeks

Then I would say. Water but don’t saturate. Overwatering kills.
Talk to MaryJane ask if she will see over them in your absence.

You could always make or buy a water drip feeder, Or something similar.

Back im my pet fish days, when we acclimate new fish. We would use a airline and a water bottle to adjust the water temp and ph as best we could. What you do is poke a hole in the water bottle top, then stick the airline in the hole. Fill it with water. Next tie a lose not in the air line. Make sure its lose enough to let the water drip out. If done right, you can get 1 drop an hour, to 1 drop a sec out of it. Or you can use a cottonball and a water bottle.
As far as light, make sure to get a timer of some sort as well.
