Question is when i watered today ph was 6.6 same gallon and PPM was 849. why such a large swing in PPM
Sounds like the soil still has nutrients in it. You didn’t say how far along in the grow you are. If you are far along it could be salt buildup.
Your runoff was 849 ppm? I ask because some folks like to add nutes to their inflow even though it is in soil. Specify please
@BobbyDigital; I’m 6 weeks in the grow
That 3,200 ppm is your runoff I assume. You do not need to feed, based on that number.
Pictures in natural light (white) please.
@Arborfarms Yes when i mixed up the nutrients i ckecked the PH 6.6 and the PPM’s was 849. my run off was 3231 on one and 2242 on the other
This indicates plants have lots of goodies. Feeding them will only cause you to nuke your plants.
I have to agree don’t feed them. Just ph water keep an eye on the ppms. Looks like some clawing in the pictures. Which indicates to much nitrogen. They look good though.
@Myfriendis410 @Goldenboy2316 @BobbyDigital Thank you’s I’ll just give them PH water and keep checking on the PPM’s
Keep an eye on the tips of the leaves, any slight discoloration is a sign of toxicity / nutrient burn. You shouldn’t need to add any bottled nutrients to soil. Your added boosters will come during flower only, veg is only ph water when in soil that is amended with nutrients.
@Arborfarms Thank You i have been keeping an eye on the tips of the leaves so far no sign of any problems.
Visually the leaves are a deep green. Another indication your soil alone is doing the job. I have been there. Got out the nutrients before they were needed.
@Deepsix. I use a 2 part nutrient for veg and another 2 part for bloom(emerald harvest). I rarely use the veg nutes when i use happy frog. When i do its after the first 4 to 6 weeks. I have been using the same quart of veg nutes for 5 grows now. I use 1/2 quart of the bloom nutes per grow.
Just to give you an idea of how little i fert during veg.
