Leaf tucking? I never heard if it , sounds cool.
A lot of times you can take a jumbo leaf that’s covering a bud sight below it and literally tuck it behind itself or behind another set of leaves. The leaves are so valuable.
Oh, ok, so should I wait then?
Btw, hello @Myfriendis410, thank you for dropping by
Ok, I will, thank you, and, I dont doubt what you say but i am just wondering, aren’t they out of the light if they are tucked in?
One would think but actually No. If the leaf is alive on your plant it’s absorbing light and converting it to energy.
Guys, I am quite high so, sorry if I write some nonsense
Makes sense to me. I’ve wondered before if, sometimes, we stray from good plant maintenance into topiary art.
@ACMilan : Your plants look terrific! I like @Lostgirl’s idea about moving problematic leaves rather than removing them, whenever possible. I top my plants but, otherwise, prefer not to cut parts off.
It would be nice if there was an easy way to tell whether a plant has finished stretching.
Sorry, I missed the rest of your post,
You drew a line on one of my girl, that’s very helpful; thank you, I missed that before.
So…thank you for all your help but one thing I am still not sure, if I should wait or lollipops now, they are 3 weeks into flowering
Where you been?
Once again if you see that the strecth is done you can lollipop. Cut everything below the line. Any fan leaves blocking bud site all gotta go
I did a bit of researching and it sounds like it shoukd be done in the vegetative stage, i am confused
You wanna cut iff all lower growth after the stretch when the plant is done growing so it focuses all energybon the big buds
Look; it’s really simple. Remove the bottom third of everything at +21 days in flower. Selectively remove fan leaves in upper canopy. At day 42 repeat. Do not strip all of the leaves off of the plant!
Oh yes never strip all the leaves im sorry if what i was saying seemed to lean that way…
Ok, guys. What do you think?
I did these 3 girls, and now I get why it is better to do this before they are flowering, it’s harder because the branches are bigger and stronger, and you have to get rid of lots of little buds, and that is heartbreaking
One thing I did to these 3 plants that I won’t repeat in the next crop is top and Fim the heck out of them I have lots of buds, but they are smaller.
They are doing very well, but I have got too many buds, and they are very busy. You can see that in 2 pictures.
@Lostgirl you are welcome if you feel like taking a look
Perfect!!!
You think so?
Wow, that makes me happy
Still, I am not sure about the top, they have lots of small buds with lots of small leaves, bushy, maybe too bushy.
I am not sure if to leave it like that or defoliate some
Thanks again
Pluck only whats blocking bud sites. Ur early in flower they will get fat soon enough
