Question for everyone

That is impressive man…

I think im gonna try to grow one in a cup now :joy: ill just put it next to my hydro tank and see what happens. Will be a good little trial run for growing one in dirt for the 1st time.

Holy cow…my current grow is from regular seeds. Maybe i can get a guy to grow and pollinate one of my blueberry og branches…that wouod be such an effecient way to grow a male…

You guys have completely inspired me :joy:

Wow! Makes me a lot less worried about my 3 gallon fabric pots getting root bound while growing outside.

Yeah I’ve never really found being root-bound an actual problem, just needs to be watered more often. That solo cup cup plant was green and healthy before I went 2 weeks water only before chop to bring out the harvest colors.

So have a question a little off topic, but what about roots? My stems where not tree trunks like these above, chopped down this weekend, in 5 gallon fabric pots, and the root structure on the solo cup looked better then mine ? I grow tomatoes, squash, and other veggies and have seen there roots fill up a 20 gallon pot easy. My girls had a bunch of little roots, nothing spread out like I see in my veggie garden? Sorry off topic but been wondering this and saw talk about stem reminded me. Thanks

Yeah you won’t see crazy roots like that in a fabric pot with the air-pruning it does. I’ve recently changed to using 3 gal mesh pots (Rain Science) on my full size plants because the 5 gals just weren’t filling up with roots so might as well save the coco (and water and nutes) and go with a smaller pot.

Thanks and btw I had read or skimmed most of your grow journals. Not being weird but have learned a lot. So I think you will know the answer to this, with having the smaller roots and them not being everywhere did that, dose that hurt your yield. More specific Autos Flowers first time grower got little over an oz per plant. Would Smaller pots help out ?

A lot of times root mass will vary just based on when you transplant or watering habits.

I transitioned from bonsai into growing mj so i was aware of the bonsai. Pretty cool how you can keep a mother like that. Im not finding anything on arrow though. What is it?

Just amazing

Auto yields really depend on how good of a start the plant got out of the gate, any little thing that slowed them down (over watering, nute or ph issues, etc…) will cut down on yield, that’s much more important than pot size. It’s why I really don’t think new growers should go with autos, photo plants are much more forgiving.
