Question abt Light

Hi , i have lots of Blue LEDs , Red LEDs , soft white LEDs ( 2700 K ) and Daylight LEDs ( 6500 K ) , so i want to know does it harmful if I turn all these lights together for every stages of growing ? Or i must turn some on or off in different stages ? I know that in every stage some of them are unusefull but does it damages to plant if all lights are on ?

I actually answered your questions in great detail above and the plants actually need all of them all the time, it is only that they need more red than blue in total all the time. More red or blue for different times of growth is actually kind of a myth, or at least poorly understood as to why the changes are actually made, which I also describe some of the reasons for the differences during different times of growth or flower as well in this thread and others on the site.

There is a smart phone app for lumens and lux lighting to help measure you light out put .

Good evening everyone !
peace and freedom with you all !

i have one question need help with please .

I have got , 400 W HPS , 5 week of flowering ,
can add 300 W florescent light , double spectrum .

Is it actually 300 watts that the fluorescent light uses?

It has a double spectrum?

Maybe you can elucidate a little more about the above?

Happy Growing,

MacG

this is I’m talking about ,is not it florescent or … is something els ? may i have wrong name  above

can i add this tipe of light , whatever it is  to HPS 400 watt ?
Thank You !

Probably, it is a fluorescent, and it does seem to be 300 watts and dual spectrum 6400K and 2700K. It might not do a whole lot adding it so late to your grow, but it probably wouldn’t hurt. The dimensions of your grow room and or the number of plants would be a consideration. In rare cases there is such a thing as too much light.

it gives in half blu light and in half like sun light … 4 spirals lights up in blu 4 in red . my girls I think needs more light , thought this may rise light but same time can harm ?

Actually the 6400K is like sunlight even though it is much more blue than the 2700K, 2700K is not the color of full sunlight. The color of real sunlight at noon on a clear day is about 5800K. 5500K-6500K is the color range of sunlight depending on if it’s overcast or the season and potentially altitude and some other factors.

dimensions are 100 * 100 * 200 centimetre ,7 plants

Yeah, it sounds like it should be fine as long as you don’t have any problems with too much heat.

Thank You so much for Your time and advise !

and for help !

Hello Mac…question bout 12/12 cycle my work schedule has changed I was doing my dark period @ 8am and light @ 8 pm but now I have to leave out by 7 am so I’ve turning lights off 1 hr early is that going to have any major effects…also I have to grow strictly inside now but this is the last 2 weeks of good sun how do I change from 8 am light to 8pm dark…thks

During flowering, it is better to give extra darkness than extra light, so giving it an extra long dark period, adding another 12 hours of dark to get to the schedule you want, might be your best bet.

Also some people swear by a 11hrs light/13hrs dark for flowering, so turning your lights off a little earlier shouldn’t hurt.

Ok thks Mac have been sitting at work thinking bout my ladies all day

I bought another advance light , they had a special for $200 dollars off , and a repeat customer it was a bargain . But for as led they are the cream of the crop . I strongly advise anyone to spend the money , it’s worth it .

That’s what I use for my clones and new seedlings after they reach a certain age or 6 complete sets of leaves.
The clones about 4 to 5 inches tall.
I’ll use the 300 watt 68 watts used for vegging. Works great.
