I think adding extra light at week-5 of bloom phase is the best thing you can do to increase bud density a bit.
They might not look different but they will weigh more. At week-5 of flower most hybrids would not grow much any more so any extra light will basically add extra heat and photons which would cause slightly more evaporation and photosynthesis from the leaves (bringing up more water and nutes from the soil to convert into sugar). Week-6 and 7 is when my Purple Kush and Cheez swells the most so I’m pretty sure more light at these times would be good.
As long as your heat and light levels isn’t damaging you should harvest denser buds, but the best thing to do is experiment and keep a close eye on them, then let us know for sure.
I’m having a particular light problem myself…my inter nodes spacing on my clones are way too close (Probably 5mm). Everyone seems to like close nodes but my plants just aren’t stretching.
I moved my 400w up so there a 1 meter gap from the light to the clones and they still did the same thing, then I switched to a 250w HPS, they seem to be more happy now but the nodes are still extremely tight (still roughly 5mm), even though the 250w is also 1 meter away from them…reason I’m using HPS in veg is because I need some stretch to happen.
When do I put my babies under 600 watts hps I am getting temps 32 plus with an 5 inch air flow five Ince cardon filter in a tent height 1 8 width 1 20 is there any thing I could do as my first did and my babies need to know what lights would help first time and I am not killing them again
Just asking this as I am ready to start again from seed and there auto flowers blue ched so I want to start again with 3 seeds sorry to waste your time
Ok thats good…and your not wasting my time. So less not go there…ok
T5s are perfect for seedlings, rockwool is also good.
I myself use paper towels to germinate my seeds then when they have say 1/2 inch root I place them in potting soil. Here is a pic of a few that I have just started. As a matter of fact they are now in veg stage and got their first taste of nutrients tis morning.
Yes it is, that set isn’t hooked up yet. But these are look close or blow the pic up and you can see the drip line. Each plant gets 4ozs twice a day everything is working out so far. If it keeps up this way I will add a second one for there nutrients. The nutrient one will have its own air flow to keep the nutrients moving at all times, this way the nutrient solution won’t get stagnant. Its an experiment and if it works the way I’m hopping it does. Well I’ll have more time tovwork on other projects.
What’s up Will can u list the things I need to setup one and where to get equipment Been having to take plants upstairs to bathtub and back down to tent is bitch
