Question about runoff water.Please help

Hello guys once again I need help  so far I got so much help my grow is going much better because of this forum/site I really appreciate it!!!
So finally I did almost a proper calculation of runoffs ppm and quantity although I still don’t have pH meter and I’m doing it with the test kit on the go so it’s not specific but in safe zone…
My question is about the tap water I’m using for my plants…When I’m calculating the ppm of tap water is around 332 340 always but when I’m leaving it for 24 hours it’s driving to 150 ppm, and because o want to check the ppm after feeding with nutrients and it’s getting higher than 151 ppm but closer to the original 332 ppm.So which one I calculate to take action for next watering ??Cheers guys I hope someone can explain me that here is a pic from the diary

Usually u let tap water sit 24 to 48 hrs and the chlorine dissipates out some which lowers the ppms. After water sets for the bit then do the mixing might help your calculations sone.

If I could get my ppms to drop like that I would be stoked. Mine only drop a few points. Not much. I use a air stone to help since I use a 30 gal container. I am only going to mention how I look at things for my grow.
First. What you are using is how it should be. As you add any nutrients. It will change your numbers.
Some use remove the starting water ppm to get the base for their nutrients. I don’t my self. I keep track of what the starting water was. Only because some times I add tap water to my RO. Later on when I look back at my notes and see my ppms were higher for a certain plant. The water I noted will let me know if I did feed more. or if the number is higher because of the water I used. I try to keep my run off at 200ppm or less of what I put in. It the number is higher that 200 for the run off. I will start feeding less. If it gets close to what I put in. I feed a touch stronger. You will get the feel for the nutrients you use as time goes on.
Right now it looks like you are doing fine. Any more pictures of your 6 shooter? I have 2 going. They started life as twins. I separated them into 2 plants.

@Not2SureYet Thanks a lot for your time it totally make sense to me really really helpful info!Much appreciated!!I will post straight way tomorrow after doing some lst because now the light is on and I will have to take the plant out for a clear picture but if you don’t mind the crazy colours of the light I can send now…It’s my first grow ever and I have to say the six shooter is doing better than lemon Ak and Mexican airlines but it’s a bit smaller than wedding cheesecake…but maybe it’s because the cheesecake germinated first…the six shooter it’s the only one that showed some nutrient burn a tiny tiny yelowish tip but then I waterd just with tap water and after a couple days went way

Colors don’t bother me unless some one is asking for info on a plant. it can make it harder to really see what is going on.

I have never had flies. So I don’t know if they would hurt any thing. I wouldn’t think so. but don’t quote me on that. I am sure outdoor growers have to deal with them. @Big123 would know better than me here.

You did no harm. She will still branch out and grow like a mad woman. If I can find my journal. I will tag you there. I still have about 4 to 6 weeks left to go with these.

I add my water straight from the tap. Mix and good to go. If I can drink it then the plants will take it.

You wouldn’t say that if you had my water lol mine is 535 ppm out of the tap. I tried using it on my very first grow. I learned a lot from the mess it made

Yeah mine is 2-300

Do you mean a fugus gnat ( a tiny black fly?) or a house fly?

For the gnats, careful on the watering as that is what they look for - nice damp soils. The flying adults will not do harm themselves, but their larva will eat your roots if not controlled.

I have a few gnats as I have many house plants. I use sticks yellow traps - work really well. For more serious issues, mosquito bites work really well.

Your LST looks great! They will grow fast. You could sit and watch them grow!

Just keep on it; you are doing very well. :+1:

Looking fantastic @Not2SureYet

I like to gently sprinkle a little food grade diatomaceous earth around soil near plant. I swat whenever I see one, I’ve killed a couple the past week.

A mulch layer can help with reducing flies, especially outdoors.
