Question about lights đź’ˇ

How many plants would I be able to push through flower using a spider farmer sf-2000 and Mars hydro ts-1000?

I do two plants under a 2000 i dont see why u couldnt do at least three

Honestly for both 1 being rated for 2x2 and the other 3x3 flower I’d say 1 plant u can def fill a 3x3 with 1 plant and get a nice haul. I got a 2x2 going and I bet I get about 10 to 12 zips off it 1 plant. Do some last and stuff keep it low and wide don’t have recent pics til later about 5 or so hours when I got feed and water her but she’s beautiful

The TS-1000 is a 150 watt light. The SF-2000 is a 200 watt light. You need ~40 watts per square foot of canopy, so you can productively flower 1 plant under each light.

What’s a good recommendation for a light that could grow around 8-10 plants at once

Stay away from mars hydro and pretty much anything else you find on amazon. I Geuss you could pay for spider farmers on there but that would be my last recommendation.

Not many retail available lights off the shelf will run 8-10 full plants. Again it depends on how big you grow your plants.

The recommendation is 2x2 space for each plant
So now you have to think about how your going to space your plants, are they all going to be in one room? Or are you setting up multiple tents?
Lots of variables here.
At that size of start up operation the cost will be significant I hope you are aware of that.
If you have a couple basic tools and some time you can build your own otherwise I would recommend kingbrites.

A 5x5 tent will cost you about 500$ USD + (my prices are in Canadian in screen shot) shipping, with such a big spread you should really go with bars and not boards so that the lights get a good spread of light distribution

here come the HLG fanboys, lol (i kid, i kid   ). Put you a pillow under your check writing hand so when you see how much that will cost you, you don’t fall and damage it

This is my set up now, will what I have be enough for these 3? I have two more seeds I just dropped in 3 gallon pots can I add them here or should I go grab another light?

they LOOK like they like it so far  I have two BLURPLES (the cardinal sin in growing evidently lol) which equates to 390W overtop of 2 plants and they are flowering up NICE and thick  You should be fine for veg for sure but may struggle with that combined wattage getting 3 to flower. I know they WILL do it, just might be a little more “airy” (fluffy).

They’re two weeks and three days into flowering

Wrong question
This has six plants in 2x2 space

The question is how much floor space do you have available or tent size - what ever you want to grow in. Then, how much light do I need to flower every square inch of that space
At the top of this picture is a 400w QB fixture set at 320w. the fixture is 22x22"
I get pretty good coverage with it

A bunch of happy buds

Previous to this I grew a single plant in the same space

See what I am getting at? It is the space and how you want to fill it. One or two massive manifolds or many using SOG

Hey man I’m new but doing a lot of reading and researching this light stuff. Those 2 light should do a great job for those 3, in ur 4x2 it looks like. Would Not add anything more plants u will run out of room and light power. My understanding on lights is the more you send the more efficient and more potential for larger yields then other lights. Go to search bar on the forum put in sf-2000 u will see people posting pic of what that light can do good luck

Exactly what I was trying to say, a normal would be 2x2 but we could do tons of stuff like put 10 plants in a 4x2 when really I would only run 2, max 3 plants in a 2x4.

@RandyWatson you’ll need another tent and a full setup, running 5 plants in that 4x2 your asking for bud rot and other issues.
Squash the seeds you just dropped or build another full setup or put them outside once they are 2 weeks old.

@Kingkupa yes and no… As you increase power your light becomes less efficient, more light is needed for the grow to be more efficient up to 60 DLI when carbon dioxide becomes a limiting factor.
Spider farmers are okay… Definitely better lights out there for cheaper like kingbrites.

@Nicky so I’m good with just the 3?

Well I don’t know exactly what lights you have in there but it looks like the one on the left is 240-260w roughly and the one on the right is about 100-125 (mars hydro)
You don’t really have space for more lights anyways haha. They are non burples so that’s a step in the right direction.

Yeah I think that tent will be good. Make sure you have at least 2 clip fans in there and run your exhaust all the time. To give those girls air

@Nicky the tent is just to keep the plants off of my carpet right now, I’ve never zipped it up and it stays open with a fan bIowing from the outside. I was told I really don’t need a tent since I’m only growing autos… I’m aiming to turn one of my spare rooms into a grow room in the next couple of weeks. Any suggestions on a good light that could easily flower at least six plants?

Autos should get 4hr of darkness, a 20/4 scedule seems to work the best but 18/6 is good to if your lights are strong enough.

of plants is subjective the space is more important

What’s the space designated for the plants to grow, so not the whole room but like as far as yull let them stretch.
For example even in an open room many people. Put up pvc frames and box them in one by one to help. Support and control growth.
