Pressing with hog

I got a reply on a rosin tech Facebook page.

"Try this…
Press set, does it zero out?
If so then press the > all the way to last zero and use up arrow to go to 1 & set,
should read Su,
hit set & use arrows to program your TARGET temp,
set,
should read Su again, now hit the up arrow to read AHI, set, now use arrows to program your HIGH temp, hit set, should read AHI again, now hit the up arrow and should now read AHL, hit set and use arrows to put in LOW temp, hit set, should be reading AHI again now hit up arrow again and it should read END, hit set and should be good to go…
I ended up finding a video on programming mine, it was actually for a coffee machine but it worked… "

So that all worked I am just letting it run a bit to see how stable it is. So far seems to be holding the temp on the pid screen much much better, within 2*f +/-

So I’m putting a black magnet strip on the plates I a couple spots so I can shoot it with my lazer temp gun, ideally a bbq thermometer does better or a k type thermometer but I’m at work so this will have to do for now.
Then I can tell how much the plate temp vs controller temp is actually off.
I reached out to the guy who replied her so he may be able to tell me how to autotune/ calibrate the temp.
I’ll be back with another post once I know more
