Hey I have both an hgl100 and a mars hydro ts1000 ( forgot I ordered one and ended up with both ) would it be over kill to have both running in the tent? It’s a tight fit but I can manage to make it work. I haven’t dont it yet because I worry about too much light??? But I have that option. I’m also building out a space to put things down in my basement because the tent is only going to be good for so long size wise, and I’m hoping the weather here gets warmer soon. Sorry for blowing up the thread I’m just reading a lot and it gets confusing
Glad the babies made it after the kitty incident. So you’ll have 4 girls in a 3×3×4? That’s doable. I would recommend some low stress training to keep your height manageable. I do add 20% perlite to my fox farm Happy Frog soil for better drainage. You could wait until flower to run both lights and just 1 during veg. I usually add one of my blurple LEDs to my HLG light during flower. Just because I have it and may as well use it. When looking into building a new space. You need to consider light distribution. If you go with larger, you’ll need more lights. My HLB QB 120’s are great in my 3X3 but I’d need more light if I went any larger. I have only grown 3 girls in my 3x3 but I also need the extra room for my tower fan. Good luck, I’m set to watch
Itty bitty new leaves are popping up, the new lights are wonderful ( also bring my basement cold tent from 60 to 76 which was so nice ) still trying to figure out my timer so I can put these babies on schedule without worrying. All my nutrients came in ( can’t use any yet but it’s still exciting!! ) and I got my buckets drilled out for drainage and cleaned everything with a vinegar water wash… guess all I can do it wait til the ladies need to move into their new places photos on the way
So the girls keep growing!!! Day 9 or 10 basically. When do they move into their bigger pots ( total greenie at this I’m just excited ) I put a small fan in today so there is better air flows, the temps holding nicely around 78, I assume it’ll be closer to 74 with the fan cooling some. So from what I have read I should only feed water for the first 2 weeks of transplant and I should be on 12/12 lights for veg??? Still trying to figure this basic timer out, might have to upgrade when I get paid again. Tips? Hints?? Any help is always super appreciated!! Thanks for hanging with me through this grow everyone!
You want something more like 18 hour light schedule for veg. How long to give straight water depends on how much nutrient load your soil has. Otherwise best tip I have right now is to only provide small amounts of water, only when they need it.
@dbrn32 thanks, I’m using the fox farms ocean mix for soil… I did buy some nutrients but want to use as little extra as possible. Also trying really hard to keep them just wet enough… it’s a hard urge to suppress when I see the top look dry, but then I pick up the cup and they have some water weight to them and I leave well enough alone. Quick question is it smarter to wait a couple more weeks til I put them into buckets? I’m assuming this so that they are hearty and undergo less shock
My bergmans seems stalled though she had a tough time cracking too. The blue dream is about ready to move and the purple haze has a big new place. Man I love spending my time doing this, it’s so relaxing and eventually beautifuly rewarding
I feel like maybe the humidity could be higher? I have them on an 18/6 light schedule. The water is just water right now I have some nutrients but have decided to get them a few weeks in to their big pots so to cause less stress. I’d honestly like to grow these as cleanly as possible but if nutrients are absolutely necessary I’m in. I want healthy girls for sure. Using fox farms ocean mix for soil and really happy with that stuff as well. I’m always down for help or if you see I might need to check in to something. Hope everyone is staying warm and toasty
Your rh could be a little higher, just do what you can within reason.
You should be fine right now without nutrients, but you’ll need something to finish out the grow. If you don’t want to add nutrients look into organic teas. Not really my thing, but someone like @Skydiver could maybe help you out.
When they’re little like that I prefer a clear dome over them and you mist the dome twice a day with distilled water; that’s all they need. A 2 liter Pepsi bottle will work and when small a clear Solo cup will do fine.
