I just did a light defol anytime I had leaves blocking light. Photos never seemed to mind at all. Most times a few days later you couldn’t tell.

Oh well, no guts no glory! I’m going to take some of the lower leaves! Bob Ross would call this the ā€œbravery testā€. I’ll post pics when done.

Very nice plants! I would defoliate more, but don’t do it until day 21 of flower (13 more days). You don’t want to stunt growth right now. That way the stretch will be over and all bud sites exposed. Then I would take off all lower fan leaves and any blocking bud sites on the top 1/3 of the plant.

Next round, you can lollipop before flipping (taking all of the bottom 1/3 of the plants). This will focus energy to the top buds and you won’t end up with lose or larfy buds at the bottom.

This is what they looked like last week underneath. I’ll clean it up under there. In a bit.
They’re up on racks now.

I concur, looks great to me as well!

Do you mean you’ve put some racks under to let air under them?

Yes. Rookie mistake. Should have thought that out first off. Started seeing a small amount of mold on a couple of the bags. Peroxide wipe and put them up on metal racks for better drainage and drying of the bags. No more mold so far.

Well I’m a rookie so I’m glad I’ve learned this before I had an issue. Thanks!

@MoBilly. I like the yarn! @Sirsmokesalot told me to open up the canopy and I did it with yarn. I am about ready to flip and cannot believe how much my girls have flourished with his advice.

The yarn works great. It’s soft on the plant but plenty strong. My wife saw that I was going to use bailing twine and suggested the yarn. Smart woman.

Glad I could help. I’ve received some great help from the folks on here. It’s a great forum. It’s all about the grow on here. I’ve looked at a lot of threads and have not seen even one disagreement that got heated. I plan to stick around.

Update on day 14 of flower.
I realized that I never told you guys the lighting setup I have been using.
So,
Big light is:
Spider farmer SF-4000 Dimmable Full Spectrum Led Grow Light Replace 1000W HID

Two small lights:
Two 1500W 1200W LED Grow Lights Full Spectrum

I’m using 5x6 feet of my room for the plants. It was a 5x5 but I had to remove one wall due to growth.

On to the girls.
Gelato A (beast)

Gelato B

She got tall. Again, I’m experimenting with shape. Didn’t like how tall she got.

You can see where I opened her up just before the flip. Not sure if any of those little buds will develop but good healthy leaves catching good light can’t hurt.

Finally the CBD Ratio

See the yellow tips? My lights are actually higher now than before the flip. I wanted them to stretch a little more. So I’m thinking it’s probably not light heat stress. What do you all think? Mutes??

Yep. You see how tips are also abruptly bending down? That is typically from a little more nitrogen than necessary.

So should I have maybe eased into to flowering feed a little more?

Maybe, would depend on products used and at what concentration. A few burnt tips won’t really hurt you though, as long as it doesn’t keep progressing.
