Plumbing story (RDWC)

I started with a RDWC system I bought as a package of plumbing, bins, fittings, etc., for 4 x 13gal square black buckets. As designed, the package has bulkhead fittings for 3" PVC drain piping, where each bin is connected to two others, and one of them is connected to two others and the reservoir.

It turns out that I needed a fair bit fewer 3" bulkheads than came in the package, so I figured it’d be good to have a 3" valve or two so that I can configure the system to have, optionally, several more buckets.

I found a good deal on ebay for two schedule 80 3" full union valves… without fully realizing how big they are: About 10" long, 8" diameter. See below (40lb dog for scale).

I may end up using one of these monsters. Anyone in the market for a 3" PVC Sch80 True Union valve?

Sorry! Not today… I use 1.5” and 3/4” valves.
Good luck with everything.

Might want to hold onto them in case something goes wrong or you want to change or add something. JM2CW.

Let’s us know if you have any questions. Good luck! :+1:t2::v::sunglasses:

It certainly surprised me!
