Please help identify leaf discoloration

Grown in Happy Frog, with a thin layer of sand to prevent fungus gnat growth, I keep my gals on an 18:6 light schedule on a TSL 2000 at 50% dimmed 30” from top of plant. They are about 8 weeks old.

I recently removed a SCROG net that was getting in my way of caring for them and have been defoliating them here and there for airflow. I don’t use any nutrients, but have given them the recommended diluted to gallon dose of CalMag Plus at random when they look a bit too yellow in new growth.

My gals are in very low RH, between 40-50%. It’s the best I can offer for right now. I keep heat close but under 80*F.

The “bad” fan leaf is at the bottom of both plants nodes. Do y’all think it’s a deficiency or the low RH? My whole plant is starting to shrivel a bit, so I know she’s hurting somehow. Should I

  • Buy the humidifier and leave them to adjust to that. (Plz recommend a tiny humidifier)

  • try to repot and use Ocean Forest for 2/3 of the bottom even though they’re (poorly) LSTed

  • Crack out the GH Flora and submit to supplemental nutrition that’ll risk burning em up

Wtf is this spotty discoloration? My gals really do look hungry. I do companion growing, so please excuse the sad but strong-stemmed cosmos between my Star and Runt

I personally dont think you have any issues you stated they r bellow everything. I had girls have the same colors and later they grew out of it… @Newt might able 2 able to help you with humidity

Your plants look fine. I wouldn’t worry about problems on a single leaf.

Are you monitoring runoff PPM?

Cal/mag won’t help yellowing. You should expect new growth to be a lighter shade of green.

So do y’all think I need a humidifier?

Bud says they absolutely need more humidity in veg and it’s their strain I’m growing, so I think they’d know better than me, but we’re going into summer here and I’m worried about growing mildew. I can get mildew with distilled water in a cool mist humidifier, right? I don’t want it!

My gal up north is fighting mold across her whole crop in flowering, which is super sad. I don’t wanna be in the same boat. OG says def buy a humidifier, but my gut says no. My gut isn’t much of a grower tho. What do y’all think?

Yes, but you shouldn’t have to worry about it at 40 to 50% RH. Good airflow helps avoid mold/mildew.

40 to 50% is fine. Ideal levels are defined in the VPD chart below. I don’t use the chart and instead just maintain reasonable RH. Some growers swear by it though.

If just a few leaves, and not spreading, I wouldn’t give it a second thought.

Me personally i would clip that off ,as the plants get older the very bottom leaves tend to go yellow and die off so i wouldnt be worried about it
