HELP I'm stumped ... Yellowing bottom leaves

Greetings,
I’m having an issue with my bottom leaves turning yellow at about 21 days in veg…

3 gal felt pots
Temps: 75/70
RH: 70/55%
Using Happy Frog
No nutrients yet…I foliar sprayed with GH Flora Nova grow last night at lights out (6.5/351 ppm, my well is 200 so 150 ppm of grow)
I scoped them for bugs both sides of the leaf and the stalk …No bugs…
The growth seems a bit slow also…

The girls are ILGM Cal Dream and Jack Herer…
Only the Cal Dream seems to be affected…
I’m stumped
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions??

My light is a MarsHydro FC-E6500…
I’m having to use my seedling light MH TS1000 (150w) until my main tent is empty in about 10 days…
Could my issue be the light?
I’m following the manufacturer guidelines of 75% at 15" above the canopy. My light meter says 7500-8000 lumens which should be enough for early veg??

Why did you spray them ?

I thought since I haven’t fed them yet it might be an N defiency…

Looking like it could be from the pics. It may have been too much when they were younger and just showing now.
Note the up curled fringes. Usually caused by light intensity and heat / low humidity.

There are a lot of solids in the Flora Nova grow. It can block the stomata on the leaves.
It’s what I’ve used for the last 6 years.
You’d be better off mixing it up and adding to the pot rather than spraying.
What soil are you using ?

To me looks like ph lock out to Magnesium or just lack of, and it starts at the bottom.

Happy Frog…
The girls seem to have stretched a bit also…

I haven’t fed them yet, usually I don’t feed much in veg…
Should I foliar spray with Cal mag?

At this point I’m thinking about flushing w/3x (9 gal) pH’d at 6.5…
Then resuming my feed schedule…

Any suggestions, ideas, critique’s or any input to help me figure this out…

I second Ed. Whats the actual temp at Canopy level?

71.5°f and the RH is 68%…I turned the light down to 25% and that dropped the lumens from about 5800 to 4300

71.5 and Humidity is 68%

I don’t think it’s light burn since it started on the lowest leaves.
I believe it’s a nutrient issue…I just have to figure out which one…
When in doubt flush…

You’re all over the ice here bud.
You have to find out what the runoff ppm’s and ph are first
Plus you’ve sprayed them as well.
So that’s adding to your issues.

Happy frog with no nutes added should get you to 5 ish weeks of veg.
Then check the run off before feeding.
Under 1000 ppm then feed.
Over 1000 then just water.
Stop spraying your plants too.
It causes more issues than it fixes if not done properly.
Only time I spray mine is if I have issues with mold or wpm outdoors.
Never inside under the lights.

Runoff is 673…pH is 6.6 in and 6.4 out…
I usually don’t spray my girls…The only reason I sprayed…(only once right at lights-out) was I thought maybe a N defiency…
Normally I don’t feed much in veg since I veg about 8 weeks…
This time has me scratching my head :thinking:
The other 2 Cal Dream and the Jack Herer are doing fine…same dirt, same lights…

Looking at your numbers I’d just feed them and go from there.
By any chance did your pots dry out on you.
Reason I’m asking is because of the leaves.
Or were you misting them when younger.

Newer growth looks good without the edge curl and spotting is why I’m asking the above questions.
Got me curious as to the cause as well.

Nope they didn’t get dry…
I started them in solo nursery cups with HF, they were in the cups almost 3 weeks before transplanting into the 3 gal felt pots…
I got busy and left them in the cups about a week longer than I usually do…

I’m stumped as well… it’s been a while since I had issues with my grow

I’m thinking of clipping the damaged shade leaves and do a flush today and see if that cures whatever nutrient problem I’m having.

Thank you for your input👍
