You can do it but your room and probably the whole house will smell. Is there any way to swing the fan towards the front of the tent and use the filter. You could even stand the filter on the floor if you want. Just put a box or some thing under it if you want to lift it a little. I have my filter out side the tent. My tents vent into the room. This would work also if you have the room.
