Planting my seedlings

You don’t want the soil to compress much. When I fill my fabric bags (3 or 5 gallon), I pick them up about an inch and drop them once. I’d start the light around 50%, maybe 18". If they stretch, you can drop it off turn it up.

Thanks, just put my seeds in water. Tucked away dark and warm. Here we go lol
Wish me luck

If I pre-water my soil, should I soak it?

I wouldn’t soak it. You only need like an ounce when you plant it. After if sprouts, take a clear solo cup and spray the inside with distilled water. Then put it over the seedling and let it go for a couple of days.

Ok, got to admit, i peeked at my seeds and by God they are staring to show a very very tiny tail.
I have a few more questions (surprise lol)
Will this dome be too tall

And does this look accurate to you?

Bottle looks great! :ok_hand: That light schedule will work but I suggest using DLI to measure the exact height and intensity of your lights. I use photone app on my phone.

@HeyJB the only app I found under photone was a picture editor.

Hey there bud are you planting them directly into there final home? A lil something i like to do when planting and transplanting is to treat the pot im going into as if there were a plant in it already. I add some compost tea to the empty pot a couple days in advance to get the microbial life really going, then when i plant/transplant, lighty water the topsoil so it doesnt dry out and keeps your microbes mobile and boom youre good for a few days. Hope thats usefull and best of luck bud.

Thats strange. Just double checked. The app is called photone. Maybe theres another app that does DLI and LUX you can use. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Sorry just getting to see this. That’ll work just fine for a dome. Or the bottom half. And you can start at the light recommendations and adjust up or down on height and/or intensity depending the plants light requirements.

Yeah they are going right in there permanent pots. I haven’t treated it at all just the happy frog soil.

Ok I dropped 3 seeds only want 2 plants but thought I should drop 3 incase any had a problem.
2 seeds sank and one is still floating. Is that normal?

Honestly, I just look to see if the seeds are cracked open after about 18hrs. Some float, some sink. I don’t use that as any kind of indication. But within 24hrs I have them in a once folded, damp paper towel, in a Ziploc open a little bit.

Ok guys while I wait for my new plants to sprout, I decided to focus on my plant that is still going. Before I put more time into it, is it too early to know if it’s female or male? I don’t want to waste time on it if it’s male. Dont know if these pictures are of any help

@HeyJB I meant to tag you in above post. Can you help with identifying the sex of my plant?

Its a feminized seed?

Not a clue, came out of some mediocre weed that was full of seeds. I basically planted it to see what happened. Never expected it to survive this long. It was before I decided to get serious about growing.

Right on. Well, i guess when shes as big as you like and you flip to 12/12 light cycle you’ll know.
