Plant is getting close to the light

Auto, blue dream, in a 3 gallon pot, in a 3x3 tent. I’m probably 8 inches away from the light, move the light as much as I can. Will it stretch anymore? If so, should I trellis it to try to bend the main stalk? I did try to LST with some clips but almost broke in half, reason for the red tape in the middle. It did recover quickly though.

You can tie the close bits to one of your poles to get it away from your light. Or get some 3x3 netting and gently tuck it under.

Ha my gods gift auto did the same thing  I topped mine to stop going up but she’s still going up so I’ll just wait til she’s done and assess from there :face_with_tears_of_joy:

Depends solely on your individual plant. Has it stopped stretching this week yet or is it inching higher everyday still? Those are internal operations that we growers can slightly influence but ultimately are just passengers on their journey lol.

Added a 3x3 trellis, does it look ok? I did tie the main stalk to one of the poles

Should I defoliate this auto? Or leave it alone? Trying for dense buds and better yield

Should I be worried how close it is now to the lights

I don’t worry about it until the plants get to within a inch or two of the lights. If putting the back of your hand there and it is not hot, your plant will be fine.

Hopefully they are done stretching and can just soak up the rays and make you some beautiful flowers

I have been in your situation several times, if they hit the light it will burn the bud. I have took and bent the stems by pinching a flat spot kinda and bend and tie down. That is a last resort for me, but it will work. I got so I put in my net at the max height, and once it gets there I start tucking and like the one I have now it took two nets to tame it.
