Pink Panther strain or not?

Greetings all.
I have a grow journal up and running but this is a specific question on strain so hopefully ok to ask here.
Has anyone grown Pink Panther strain by DSS?
From the little Ive been able to find out it is supposedly 85% sativa and as I have no knowledge I am wondering why the leaves look like Indica or is that just a myth.
I didnt know the company I ordered from was not so reliable until after I ordered and one issue was incorrect seed so thats what got me thinking about these leaves.
I did order from Robert but 1st order never arrived and 2nd one is still on its way so I was grateful to receive what I did from DSS as its now been nearly 2 months of waiting.
So 2 on the right are supposedly Pink Panther and the one on the left Bubba Kush

Thanks for your help.

Nice that be an interesting strain.

Never grown it, sorry. Any time you’re messing with hybrids you’ll see different phenotypical expressions.

So could still be what it is supposed to be @dbrn32 ?

I don’t get too hung up on that, myself. Unless it’s a clone or a landrace, anything can happen, pheno-wise. If height’s a major concern (just an example), vertical issues would concern me more than leaf shape. Plus, they’re young. Just wait til blast-off!

As long as it’s from a reputable breeder/bank, your girl should smoke like a Sativa dominant, no matter the leaf size/shape. Reading your comment, I see that might be an issue.

Thanks @blackthumbbetty its good to learn this stuff.
What it was, I had picked these both of these strains to treat migraines. The PP I was thinking for daytime vape and the Kush for nights. If they were both Indicas then Id just grow a sativa next.
Thank you guys.

I have had sativa’s start out looking like indica myself and then grow outta it, with my outdoor grows in the past. I think a lot of it has to do with what @blackthumbbetty said as far as pheno-wise.
I have never grown this strain myself either. I do have some Bubba Kush that I am gonna eventually try growing. :v:

@blackthumbbetty so landrace strains will look like the typical sativa or indica? But hybrids can take on the characteristics of either correct? Does it have anything to do with whichever strain is the most dominant?

Well, depending on what stage of cross it’s at: F1, F2, etc.

Here’s a great read:
