Phoenix Grow, From the ashes...... more DWC

5 gallon or 20 litre container

uc roots- 10mls
canna rizotonic- 10mls
veg A 5 mls
veg B 5 mls.
cocco cal 15 mls.

this brought the ec from .1 to .4-.5 seems a bit high but they seem just a just a bit hungry.

ph was 7.6 now 6. I don’t know what’s making it climb… its not the rubber, I left some in a jar for two weeks and the same ph…

and the last time I cleaned out the system I forgot to connect the air hoses. lucky I have the sprinkler system…

but now lets see how they do…

ok, here we go, first try at these media free pot experiment from seed, big bud x white widow.

and I chose this way of germination over the fire because…

that’s within 24 hours, I mean I go to all this effort in glasses and picking them up with my fat fingers and my misses just throws them in with the veggies and pop.

@peachfuzz, what do you think the chances those pots will work from seed?

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work…
Everything we do is trial and error , it either works or it don’t…

Thats it! how are you bud, the weather must have subsided by now? its going to be really bad here this summer coming. we are already getting bushfires and our agricultural minister just warned of massive “fish kills” where we don’t have enough water in our dams to give the fish enough water to live… every river west of the great dividing range…… 97% of Australia… I only just heard this today, we live 4 hours west of the great dividing range… its going to be biblical.

Holy crap… that don’t sound good at all…
We are still running at 110 to 115 deg …
Hopefully in the next 5 to 6 weeks we will start to cool off…:crossed_fingers:
I really need to get my plants into flower , I’ve just been waiting for the weather to give me a little break…
:v::sunglasses:

The heat doesnt help? Weve been running 100s. Outside its humid AF. Indoors? Its 71 and 50% :joy::joy:

@peachfuzz, that’s a long time. last year we only had 2 months over 40’c. I feel your pain, how a place is hotter then here I cant imagine… are you in the desert? you got to show me your cooling, insulation, ductcs etc… “before” its full of buds…

there is just something horrible about 110 or 45+ for weeks on end, the aircon doesn’t work properly, cold water isn’t cold, the dog melts… how do you keep it at 70 an 50%?

HAHAHAHA. We have 95+ Degrees and 80+ humidity. Mississippi. The delta farmland southern portion of the US. N it hasnt raind in 8-10 days. My outdoors veggies are dying… alive but dying

humidity man, is it a giant ducted system? we have had 120mm of rain total this year, its going to be bad.

we’re ok because of the way we are set up. but we are surrounded by farmers, if we don’t get rain before summer starts… fuck me. we are prepared for this stuff but we have limits. the first time they have warned of all our rivers drying up, towns are going to run out of water. the Darling is already dry.

it will be worse then last year, the kangaroos and livestock starve and die of thirst.

BTW, I know about the crossover posts, im only 38, and wasn’t a bad drunk, have a good respected job. then I just slipped out of control. now ive stopped. :grinning: no judgement all good bro

Haha good job keeping posts in place. :joy::joy:. But i got the pace. Plenty food chases my drinking. N the metabolism literally pisses it out :joy:.

Onto the serious note. That :poop: bout dryness is scary. I hated this year around here. (110 cm doesnt compute but that sounds like less then a months worth)

Usually from may to October we have 125 degrees temps non stop…
I live in the devil’s butthole… lol…Arizona …
Also known as ( jerk water USA )…
I really don’t have anything special to keep things cool… I measured the room the other day but can’t remember the measurements… lol
I run a 12000 btu ac and have another 10000 btu ac for back up and I believe the room is 10 x 16 …
I will take measurements again…
I just keep the room at 75 degrees and throw a couple of frozen water bottles in if needed to keep things cool…
Are you on a well…?
I’m on a well and my water table is only 15 feet deep but my well is 90 feet deep…
I live next to a huge wildlife refuge with a huge marsh in the middle of the desert… tons of wildlife , just incase $hit hits the fan I can still get food and water…
Right now the only thing I pay for is electricity , but hopefully I will be off grid in the next 2 years…

yeah im good bud, yeah next is way better insulation and temp control in the flower room, and around the tubs, wow. Arizona, explains the temps. hang on I just counted the months, 4-5 months… hardcore.

man that well is a godsend. we cant get that too salty apparently.
but we have over 2500m2 of roof area plumbed to one spot, and we added a 220000l tank (55000 gallons), that’s full +100000 liter rainwater. and we get town h2o that u cant drink- it comes from the river- ppms vary dramatically, wanted to use it because the plumbing to the shed would be so much easier, but the rainwater is like 0-.1 ec and 7 ph every time, im so lazy. around hear it cant dry up, as we are in the Lachlan river catchment that backs onto Sydney then wraps around central Australia… then stops, never to reach the ocean. any how we are close to the beginning and it rains a lot more at the back of sydney, so hopefully the fish wont die around here.

I do like the sound of the wildlife reserve… we have wildlife around here but 100 years ago they chopped down like every tree, so it lives in the landscape amongst corridors of trees.

Lot of pigs around here, but cant shoot them have to trap them and deworm them.

the blackfellas eat these.

yeah man you gotta get on solar, do you grow outside? the sun watts around here in summer are like 1200 a m2, it says on our weather meter.

@PurpNGold74, we have had 5 inches of rain total for the year thus far

Grubs… yikes… I guess if I was hungry , I would cook and eat that lil fuc%er…
I try to stick with quail , Rabbit and wild bores…
So all’s you have is rain water…?
You just said that you were in a major drought…
How does that work…
aren’t you worried that there wont be any water for you…?
It’s been a few weeks since its rained…
When it does tho… it fu#kin gets some lately…
Floods in minutes…
Maybe I should set up some sort of rain collection system…:upside_down_face::slightly_frowning_face::shushing_face::zipper_mouth_face::no_mouth:
Nope … I can’t grow outside legally…:frowning::disappointed_relieved::sob::angry::rage::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
Stupid laws…:angry::rage::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::shushing_face::zipper_mouth_face::no_mouth::wink:
:v::sunglasses:

do your wild bores have parasites?.

we have river water for our other business and use it for washing. however if the river goes dry… only rainfall, but you’ve got to imagine how big 2500m2 is it may be 30000m2. so if it rains 10mm we get 25-30000. big tanks big roof area, 30 metres by 100m.

you should set up a tank I did a drawing for you. :slightly_smiling_face:

.

the water tastes better anyway, and if your out in the sticks with no pollution it should be pure, that’s all evaporation and rains, distilation.

dont even get me started, well its totally illeagal here so im screwed either way, but we are pretty far out of the way, for example my next door neighbours farm is 12000 acres and the neighbour after that is 5 kms away.

summer is going to be a challenge, but ive planted now, because it will give them time to get use to the furnace, if I can keep water to them it should be a bit of a handful…:slightly_smiling_face:

ember it will do.

kindling… ill just pot on a slab of river red gum… hard as fuck.
.
It just hasn’t rained for a really long time, it rained 16mm on the 8th of july, and 1’s since then…before that months.

no tricks to those photos

okkkkk, so I did have cotton wool over the seeds, and although one found the hole, the other 2 were trying to grow into it so no more cotton wool no media, so lets jump in, in the tub u go, with an umbrella…… im loving this little st up though, very versatile, clones are looking good…mostly…

in theory anyway

a couple of the clones didn’t take, @peachfuzz, do you think this is what could be causing the ph to rise?

My misses will not be looking after the germination from here on out. Good- making her own mix, perlight, coir etc, putting them over the fireplace in towel. Bad- planting zucchini and pumpkin next to tiny seeds, and just leaving them there… gotta get theses out of here and get my next little dwc in before she sees them in here, so easy under the nice flouros….

exciting…
