I’ve been looking at their LEDs for a while. Talked to them as well.
Prices are good. I’ve read their specs many times, and they seem comparable to other companies.
Why don’t I ever hear them mentioned?

They have been deceptive in the past. Mainly in how powerful the lights were, one of those 2000w claims. As many others did. They cleaned up since then with the newer lights. But there may be a disconnect because of their earlier claims. Would make me wonder if the diodes they claim they are using are authentic. They’ve lied before. For the price point it should be in the same bracket as mars hydro, ac infinity, spider farmer.
What light specifically are you talking about? Maybe someone here has experience with them.

I’m looking to replace my MH/HPS, 600-1000w.
I have been for a couple years. Truthfully, I’m not dissatisfied with their results. I grow decent weed. But, they’re a lot of work. Heat, having to change bulbs, having to recently replace a new dimmable ballast.
Then I keep hearing about how easy it’s to grow with LEDs.
The other, the endless glowing reports of massive yields, dripping with frosty resin! The most potent weed on planet earth.
Last but not least, LEDs are practically free to run. (aren’t they?)

Practically free? No.
They’re significantly more efficient than MH or HPS and (consequently) produce less heat, but a 750-W LED still uses 750 W when it’s full on. So you get more PAR per electrical $ and many units offer spectrum control (by turning different LED colors on/off), but they can use plenty of electricity. Just not as much.

I have seen 600 watt HLG on ebay for around 200-300$. Might try that route. They also sell factory refurbs.

Yes Beardo try HLG refurbs. Usually 40-50% off MSRP and they still come with a warranty and HLG has excellent customer service.

I was given 2 , one was an old red blue “2000” watt with extremely loud fans and the other was a 240 watt (actual draw) 4 bar more modern type . The latter was effective so I bought another one . they’re ok I think , maybe a little harsh even so keep a good distance . Pretty sure they use samsung diodes . To be honest I was getting the same if not better results with a 400 watt hps . Slightly less power usage with the phlizon , they are dimmable and so far reliable . Much of a muchness , six of one and half a dozen of the other . Only benefit at the moment is hardly any heat output compared to hps .

I’ve heard the same myself, that’s why I’m on the fence… again.
Last year my cannabis mentor came over to my house and I showed him my grow. I was running 1000w MH dialed down 25%.
He was running expensive LEDs in his tent, and said mine were better. Much better.

Lets put it this way , if peak power wasn’t .55 cents AU a KWH , I would still be using MH for veg and HPS for flower . Don’t really care what anyone says , it’s my experience that they are slightly better than LEDs . Just my honest opinion . Won’t be using the internet in a few months as we are going full commie retard with a digital ID for the net . Plus this will allow “THEM” to watch whatever you do and wherever you go on the net . That does it for me then . I bought some seeds and a new 5x5 tent . Should see me out lol . Man I hate commies with an absolute passion . How the hell do you vote in a commie govt with less than 35% of the vote ? Answer , you don’t , they rigged it . We’re in deep shit people and Albo is scared of Trump . Pardon my French but fuck’em .So you won’t see a great deal of me if at all after the date . Peace everyone .

Just an example , I had a 600 watt hps setup in a 4x4 , perfect . But probably drew 650 watts or so with the fan and pump . When I replaced it with an LED a 240 watt draw , I had to use 2 of them . So back to 500 odd watts or so . I don’t see the effect on potency or stretch difference . I did have a 400 watt setup that was so close to what I have now I might just go back to using it in winter . The 400 would just cover a 4x4 whereas it takes 2 240 watt LEDs to do the same . Going to a bigger size say 650 watt Leds that covers a 4x4 is just defeating the purpose . Time to dust off the old ballast . I did have all digital ballasts but one decent thunderstorm here fixed them right up lol . Back to magnetics which are again less efficient . Peace .

I finally broke down and dropped my 1000 watt MH/HPS for a HLG 750 Diablo. Hlg has 20 to 30% off for whole month of october. Thought ypu might want to know. I contemplated for like 2 years but the heat difference is unreal for the same ppfd.

I would not be opposed to making the switch to LED.

Ya definitely man, like i said i was on the fence cause i didn’t want to pony up the cash. But the heat from my HID was getting to be a hugh pita. The 750 diablo ES was 30% off, so $699 + shipping. It is store wide 20%, i gotta say that light is totally awesome. It replaces a double ended HPS equivalent power. The l8ght is rock solid, very well built and very sturdy. 5 year warranty too. I definitely would check it out man for sure.
I am also going to be starting my first auto pot grow in a few weeks. Maybe we can share our experiences with our first auto pot run.
