Howdy folks,
I’m starting my 3rd indoor grow and this time I am trying to be a little more technical.
I’m looking to buy a PH meter for water. I’ve looked all over and reviews are all over the board. Could I get some advice on a good, inexpensive Ph meter to purchase? I’ve seen them from 10 bucks up to a couple hundred. My budget is about 50 bucks tops and the less expensive the better.
Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated. It’s Prime days on Amazon so I am looking for the best bang for my buck.

I think the Apera ph20 would be a decent one close to your budget.
I have a blue lab one myself.
Going on 5 years now.

I second the Apera. BlueLabs is just as good (or better) but a few bucks more expensive usually. That Apera can take a licking n keep on ticking

Did you get the model with temp, tds(ppm), and the other options? Think it took 5-7 readings… the Apera was 3 if I’m not mistaken

Blulab still $86 on sale. I bought one a couple weeks ago… but then I added calibration and storage solutions, which was another $50… so…

I have the 2 separate meters. Ph and the tds.
I think I was on the .ca not the .com.

I use an Apera PC60 since it measures both pH and PPM.

The apera Ph20 is very nice for the price, 60.00 through Walmart, their prices on most meters we use is always cheaper. Love the big bottles of calibration solutions, love the nice plastic carrying case.
Mine took 2 days free shipping. TDS/EC took 3 days, trich scope 4 days if arrives today like it says.

Never new how much you can buy online walmart. General Hydroponic nutes, jacks nutes, apera , trich scopes, lots more grow supplies.

I must of got a crappy one then dropped it 2x and she was dead as a doorknob and not even hard drops just like 2ft drops. Cant say i could reccommend apera after that but i absolutely love my bluelab products. I ponied up and got the bluelab guardian. Replacement probes are about $60 and way cheaper than buying an actual replacement ph pen thru bluelab or most other brands. I know at least i have the ease of mind of if my probe breaks i can order a new one for cheap. On the flip side the ppm probe is not replacable but i hardly use it anyways

That sucks man. I know I left mine outside in the southern heat summer and a couple wet winters. Lived through being ignored in some crap places.
I’m going to pull it out after year 4 sometime this season. Haven’t touched it in 2 years. Hopefully it’s semi close lol. But the replaceable parts, if affordable, are a great selling point
