Ph in soil 5.1 in all plants

Make sure you pH after you add the calmag

Thank you, I didn’t do that. I was adding a tsp to each gal of distilled but never tested. Evidently if your not using proper tools nothing is going to be right. I’ve learned a lot on this site. I sure didn’t know you had to do all this to grow a weed. No wonder it cost so much in the street. Although I don’t buy from the street, I am sure I did back in my younger years like about 42 years old before I ever smoked anything.

I used the General Hydroponics ph control kit to get my in and out measure and rapitest meter for soil by Luster Leaf. I just went down stairs to check on things and all of the girls look really good. I planted them in a half and half mixture of Fox Farms Frog and Fox Farms Bushdoctor soil. I have never heard of anyone on this site mention latter. Both looked pretty much the same only I think the Bushdoctor had more perilite in it. I am going to have to do something because they should be watered. So how much of ph down in a gal of distilled water. I don’t read any where about the amount to use. If my soil ph is already low how will the high ph work? I hope you have the time and patience to keep on helping me. Some where I read about a slurry test with this tester. Tomorrow I will order me a better instrument with your help:confused:
[/quote@roseofsharon I used the organic fox farms Happy frog and I have had great luck with it.run my pH at6.3 to 6.5 and my ppm are 37 using RO water & once a week 1/2 the dosage of fertilizer recommended and them seem to do quite well

Water even if pH’d will not bring the pH of the soil up because it has no buffering capacity. You would need to put through 25-50% nutes at pH 6.5 and measure runoff until the reading is 6.5. PPM is also an important measure of runoff and it should not be above 1400PPM (not in the slurry method but in the runoff method.) Get yourself a pH meter $15-45. You get what you pay for. I use a cheap one, but they go belly up if you don’t treat it very gently. Using a test kit just is a hassle.
