I have a PH tester coming for the water, but I’m wondering what is recommended for testing the TDS and PH of the soil? Any suggestions?
Pictured is the water tester that I have on its way.

Soil pH between 6 an 7 with 6.5 being what I aim for. Tds depends on the stage of growth your plants are in. Sounds like some studying is in order as TDS can’t be explained in a paragraph. Type TDS in the search bar and sit back and read a bit
Milwaukee is a good PH meter once you receive go ahead and do a 2 point calibration with your 4 an 7 PH Solution . you should be good to go. Happy growing
Blue Lab and Apera make TDS pens that you could test your runoff with.
Thanks for all the advice. You all are going to create some master growers in here. Tons of good knowledge. I’m guessing there will somehow be a 40% test in the next 5 years through some amazing breeding of amazing cannabis genetics. Should be a fun decade to come, IMO.
Can I not just test the soil tds?
good advice, for any topic. Forum search, YouTube, and Google. Sources for extended learning, awesome. The bad ph pen did big damage to my spring grow. Make sure you have good and get good results.Good growing to you.
Search soil slurry test, I believe that is what you are looking for, Happy Growing to you.
You can do slurry testing. I find it’s just easier to get a soil reading in the runoff water.
Agreed. Measure/set ph of your water or nutrient solution and check ppm, then compare input to runoff and will tell you which way your root zone is trending on both.
