Haha yep that can do it.
Yea the instructions on small one isn’t very good.
The large one states not to leave in soil longer than 1 hour I believe and to wipe off and then scratch pad it. So I do that to both and they still work
I tested both in same pots and with same moisture content and both read very close to one another. Took me some time to figure out the smaller one once I got the better one and could verify things
The top colas on the two plants have dried out, where they were damaged due to drying out/over heating while I was away (ugh every grow it’s something haha)
What should I do about this? Do I harvest them or just leave them?
Do you think it was due to inside light being too close while you were gone?
My thoughts…from limited experience so take with a grain of salt.
If Trichomes aren’t ready yet on those colas I’m sure they will keep developing
but if you just chop the top and dry/cure those and let the rest continue sure would be an even canopy then.
I’m not really sure how to identify as dried out. I see stuff that looks like it may have been light damaged, and seen another that looked spindly with fox tails. I would harvest it when it appears to be ready too.
The two other tops did fox tail yes, joys of having plants out stretch each other and being autos so you don’t want to tie them back to much. I may need to take the shell off the tent before next grow and tie some wire around the 3 sides so I have things to tie off to.
Really wish each pot was on an adjustable stand that wash mesh so I could collect run off below
Okay well that’s two votes for the tricombs and sounds very logical so I’ll do that.
Update.
A couple Amber’s, all cloudy but not ready yet. Seems to be slightly ahead of the rest of the plant but not to much.
The two that were damaged are the lemon potion indicas, they are much further along due to a shorter flower cycle and now I can finally clearly see the difference.
I’ll have to keep an eye on them as they will need to be flushed eventually
Thinking I’m going to look at the tricombs of the lemon potion indicas, feeling like I may have to start flushing.
I’ve heard that I should be flushing once the tricombs are milky And that should have the plant flushed right by the time the tricombs have started to show enough Amber.
I’m going to purposely do more Amber as I want a good couch lock
I had a og Kush auto do that to me. My buddy had nasty break up and asked if I would take his plants until he was in a better spot. His og Kush was under led lights. I slowly introduced the plant to direct sunlight. It didn’t take long to show signs of being burned. It wasn’t bad at first but continued to get worse even after bringing inside. Toasted the head nugget but the rest of the plant seemed unaffected. Not sure if that’s it but looked the same.
Well lesson learned here, when tops burn like shown above the best strategy is to harvest them because otherwise they go moldy…
I lost two main colas and a secondary to bud rot.
That sucks.
Thanks for the update and info I will try and store that away in my memory just in case I run into it
Hey at least they are now all relatively even canopies.
Only those two, now I have two super tall sativas. On the right of the tent and two short indicas on the left… They are already propped up using paint cans still not the same height
Dang Nick… thats cold blooded man. Hate to here that. Definitely marked in the mental rolodex tho… man hate to here that. Good late catch tho. Still got a harvest
