They’re doing well after 2+ days outside. It’s about 10 degrees warmer here than at work, so we’ll see if I can leave them out, or if they’ll need more closet time.

Hey gonna tag along here. How far north are you? My Gg#4a came up today but we have a “heat wave” this weekend. I’m considering throwing it outside but idk?!

Today, we head back to work. I’m going to give them a good drink of h20 before we leave the house, b/c when we get up there, they’ll be heading into the wild.

I know I’m pushing it, but they’ve been outside for 4 nights & 3 days, now. I don’t want to move them back inside. So, these girls will be in their outdoor home starting about 10pm tonight.

I covered the clever crate last night, leaving both handle areas open for ventilation. Today, I repotted the final baby from Set#2; there’s one baby from Set#1 that could grow a bud or 2, but I’m not repotting that one unless she grows bigger.

I plan on covering them on cold nights while they’re still young, but otherwise, they’re on their own for temps, rh, and lights. They’re going to stay in the crate until they’re bigger & heartier. The crate is kind of a safer space than the tundra floor, maybe? Bunnies will have to work at it to get the leaves.

They’ll get full southern exposure sunlight all day long.

Fingers crossed the whole thing doesn’t go sliding down the mountain. You can’t tell in the photo, but I’m on a fairly steep hillside. I think I wedged the sticks in a way to prevent disaster, but next time I go up there, I’ll recheck everything. If a clever crate filled with pot plants lands on the roof of the lodge, I’m playing stupid.

Thunderstorm their first day! I checked on them once the storm was over, and they were fine. I probably won’t cover them tonight, in lieu of the heat & humidity.

2nd night out in the cool mountain air went very well! I have a couple of pics to upload, but have to wait until we have enough data to share.

The Hill which doesn’t end for 5 miles. Luckily, I only have to walk up about a 1/2 mile, then into the woods.

Here’s the spot, as seen from the driveway, and as I walk up to it. Start top left:

Today is officially 14 days from germ on set#2 & 21 days for set#1(basically a failed start)!

I foliar fed with 1ml nirvana to 1qt h2o. I have to get up there with h2o for the soil, too. I’ll do that tomorrow am.

I decided to water them today, just to be safe.

They’re growing!

I’m so glad to see you have a doggie with you! If you’ve shared that, I missed it and worried a bit about you being in bear territory. Not to say a dog would for sure save you but it’s a good pal to have in the woods. :sunglasses:

I have my girl (black/white pit-boxer mix) and the camp dog (a 3-legged red heeler) with me, at all times, while out in the woods.

My dog is a real scaredy cat, too! If she hears a weird noise, she’s outta there.
