Yesterday morning, she was jumping at every noise, which made me jump at every noise. I kinda wish I had my other dog up here, b/c she’s a stoic & brave ball of muscle. The pooch I have with me is only 1.5 years old & a timid little thing (when we adopted her, she was already scared of so many things).

Just saw an ad on FB for the festival. I won’t be going, myself, but if they ever have one in Fbks, I’ll drive up for the day.
It’s raining, this morning. Not too hard, but it’s a cold rain. Hope the girls are ok. I’ll go check on them later.
Also, I’m taking off work for 2 weeks starting Monday, so the girls will have to make another 500 mile r/t drive. They’re going to be beasts when I drive back up in a couple weeks!

Yeah that’s quite the road trip! My buddy gave me a clone (small bush) last year, and I buckled it in the back seat and drove it home. I’ve never done something so legal that felt so illegal lol. Enjoy your time off betty!

There’s an event in vegas in November. THAT’S the one I’d like to go to, especially since that’s where my son is living. Also, hubby is a diehard Raiders fan so it would be fun to see the stadium under construction

I’d love to go to that one, but flights & hotels aren’t really in my budget. Plus, come winter I have to maintain our road or it drifts over daily.
I’m a happy hermit pothead.

Usually, I only give voodoo & b52 wk 1&2 of veg/bloom, but with the long, bumpy drive & definite root disturbance, they’re getting an extra dose today. I think I’m going to give a small little sip of grow nutes, too.
Heading outside in a few. They’re going to be set-up in my truck bed. I’m putting down a white liner, first.

To 2 qts h20 I added 4 ml b52 & voodoo, plus 2 ml grow, pH’d to 6.5 with cider vinegar. Gave the 2 biggest girls 3 cups, and the small ones 3/4 cup, each.
They will get full sun from their southern exposure, all day long.
The white thing they’re on is one of those giant bags used for hauling sand/rocks. I ganked it from work. Once I’m back up there, I might rig it up as a sort of greenhouse, with the addition of visqueen & duct tape. Not right away, but if the weather turns cold earlier than expected.

I’ll be ordering my qb this Thursday. There are 2 kits that I think work for my 2.5x5x7 grow space. Not sure which to order. There’s a significant price difference (one is 350-ish & the other just under 500), but they seem very comparable in coverage area, wattage, and par value. They both also come fully assembled & are dimmable.
Which one should I go with, in your expert opinion?

Why? What makes that one better than the other? I’m trying to understand what makes them so different, price wise.
V2 is what I had planned on buying, then tonight I noticed the other. So confused!

I think the v2 have a dimmer capability which would be great for growing from seed to flower. But not 100% sure. What’s the difference @dbrn32?
The other has a dimmer, too, as stated in my post. I’ve read each product description fully. Several times. They both cover the same flower footprint & are dimmable to about the same wattage range. Par values are fairly comparable, too.
One has 2 panels & the other has 3. That seems to be the big difference. This is not V1 & V2, these are 2 completely different kits.

Ok, I got the difference. It’s the spectrum! It’s 2850k, while the V1 & V2 are available in several options, including 3000k.
So, @dbrn32, my next question is, how much difference will that make? I understand there’s less blue & more red, so would that make it not work for veg?
I’ll most likely go with V1 or V2, b/c of the spectrum, but for $150 less, the other one is really tempting me.

The difference is the boards, diodes and how they wired them internally. The first, has the qb324 boards and the other had qb288.
From all I’ve read, the 288’s are better. Both have dimmable drivers and both work for veg and flowering. Now the difference in v1 & v2 is the diodes used in construction. Both still have 288 diodes per board; just slightly higher umols in v2

What makes one better than the other? I’m trying to understand what I’m buying, and why that extra money is worth it. . Like I said, I am most likely going with the v2, but I’m still interested in learning why one is more preferred than the other.

I researched them before deciding to just build a light for less. I’m not the one to ask, really, dbrn32 can answer that better
