Outdoor Desert Grow

Yup, in fact that’s about all I do is white lights. If you wanted colors specifically we could do that too, otherwise will be all white.

I’m thinking you could do a couple of 200-250 watt builds with 1120mm bridgelux eb strips for $400-$500 for now in the greenhouse. Depending on how full you plan on having it, you would need a couple more of them to flower a space that big well. You would have to figure that the 250 watt, that would be about what you would typically see in a 2’x4’ grow tent. And it would do very well in there.

Oh and @dbrn32 I really appreciate your time
I have popped in on your diy lighting thread and just skim through it once in a while but since I am outdoor I have not really given much thought to lighting so most of my research , energy and funds are going to soil , prepping the outdoor space for the nasty summer heat , my irrigation ect. So lighting did not really take a priority until recently , @1BigFella posted about daylight hours being a lil short till mid March then I realized the days quite long enough to keep the girls vegging. I got a little ahead of myself so in order to stay on schedule with transplanting and everything else I ordered the t5s to extend the days.
Using the cfl fixture out in the grren house on three plants the other 10 are in the cube
Cube is set at 18-6 and I have the green house with supplementing I am at 18-6 too

Cool man very cool
I deffinately want to fill the green house as much as possible
My max to stay legal is 12 plants but 12 plants in the green house is alot so probably do 6 plants in there

doing 13 now ( one is a buddies plant )
They are all going in the greenhouse at the end of the month with the t5s and then end of March begining of April they are going outside completely!
I think doing 6 healthy plants in there for a cold weather grow will be perfect and certainly a lot less to tackel than 12

Yeah man 12 plants is a lot to take care of but I guess going outdoors will help

If the target was to do 6 decent sized plants, three of those fixtures would probably do the trick. Two plants per light is about right.

I have a little bit going on at work right now, but I’ll try to get a few things together when I get a chance.

Yea having a lil space is gonna help but some of these are gonna be monsters like the gold leaf and agent orange are gonna get big
Gonna be training and pruning to keep em at the 6’ mark and bushy
Throwing around the idea of scrogging the two Gold leafs outside

First grow was quite alot smaller than this one
Only a few autos in the green house. Hope I did not bite off more than I can chew with this one but I think I have prepped the outdoor set up pretty well so hoping for a fruitful season bit I am realistic and know it will not be a breeze but am sure as with every grow there will be challenges.
Without the support I get here and from my local buddy I would not feel confident enough to take on the challenge so thanks all😁

Now that would b cool to see a SCROG outdoors. Oh man that could b a giant. I’d really like to see that. Keep us posted for sure that could b a 2 pounder

I was thinking about a portable SCROG design, so each plant would have it’s own 2 x 2 SCROG screen attached to the pot. That would make it possible to veg them inside and then put them outside to flower. I need to control height outside because I have a 6 foot high chain link grow cage. If it’s over 6 feet, it’s visible to the neighbors.

Since you’re scrogging you’ll be fine. Just bring your radio flyer to move it. @1BigFella

Man I don’t think 2x2 is big enough especially for outside. If you have s grow pen why could you put a net or even fencing and tie it to your enclosure to fill almost the whole area cuz them babies will get Big a fill that whole thing up if things are right. I don’t know what your dimensions are but I know I fill an 8x7 net with 2 plants easily. But once it’s in the net your not moving them. It really kinda risking going in and out you can carry mites or other pests into your indoor area by bringing the outdoor guys inside. I know it temporarily just keep that in mind to

Nothing that goes outside ever comes back in, and outside plants get regular spinosad spray. I learned my lesson with our caterpillar attack last summer. I don’t see anything on the inside plants, but I also used it inside last summer for aphids. Spinosad is odorless and completely harmless to humans.

I can flower 6 plants by any interpretation of the California laws, so I try to keep it down to that. My cage is 6x6x12, so I could put 6 two foot SCROG nets in there. They could actually be 2x3 and still give me room to work in there. I am using 3 gallon cloth pots to keep the plants short.

I looked into building a plank plat form with nuematic dolly wheels and attach your scrog frame to the plat form and you could push em around for sure
This was one idea I had before I knew exactly what my plan was gonna be.
Now I am not too concerned about movin em around they are gonna go in the spot the are designated
