If I had too choose between my hlg or my electric sky es 300 for a 2x4 I’d go with the electric sky they are very well built, an priced well for how good they are ,I just find there light spectrum is a little more dialled into the sun wavelengths an the girls love it

I don’t think anyone would argue es 300 is built superior to a kit you assemble at home. It’s also twice as expensive, less efficient, and falsely advertised.

Well I don’t agree with you there ,I have a hlg 550 V2 rspec that isn’t home made I got it through a hlg delealer and a es 300 an the es 300 blows the doors off the hlg for vegging ,I have 7 girls vegging and had 3 girls 10 days behind same strain and now they have caught up to the ones under hlg ,now I haven’t flowered with the 300 so can’t comment,
Also I picked up 2x 300 for $1600 price off the hlg 550 was $1500 so the price isn’t that comparable
I love the hlg it’s the best light for flower an for efficiency but there’s also other lights that are just as good ,just my opinion
Have it at about 70% power on the dimmer. Will be turning up about 5% a day. These have been in veg cycle for 6 weeks and on Monday will be changing it to flower cycle. Want them to get used to the new light and want to see if they have have drastic changes. I’m really excited now that the wait is over. Wish I would have done more research on lights before buying amazon burple lights

Different plants, may not be related to light at all. There’s nothing impartial about integrated sphere data. The es 300 is half the light that hlg-550 is, so naturally it would be cheaper? The horticulture lighting group light that is more in line with es-300 costs about $450, and still has higher efficacy without having to put asterisk next to their spec lol. Though a lot of that is you getting clipped by importer. Hlg-550 here is $850, and es-300 $700.
The es-300 isn’t a bad light, just can get better lights cheaper.
