Open pollination with two males and five phenos

I wanna do ONE open pollination with A MALE ATV AND A MALE SEVENTH HEAVEN using five phenos… is it possible for me to dually reinforce my ATV female by backcrossing while simultaneously pollinating the other different unique phenos WITHOUT HAVING TO BAG OR Isolate BRANCHES? All the phenos will be different strains

Good morning y’all.

I’ve not done any seeding in the past, but I would think if you let 2 different genetics pollenate your females you would have some plants with one genetic and another with different genetics…

Without isolating the branches I’m not sure how you could control what branches get what pollen.

But @RPgrower might be able to help with this answer.

@DanB well I’ve never actually had two male plants in with my females. I’m not sure how or if there would be a way to keep both males from pollinating, creating like you said genetics from both males. I never do but one male at a time with usually three or four females. That way I can control my genetics better. :waving_hand::clinking_beer_mugs::clinking_beer_mugs::victory_hand: But I’m just a beginner this is only my second time to make feminized seeds. There’s probably some other people on here that would know a lot more about this than me. @OGIncognito @AfgVet

Thanks for tag Brother. @DanB you’re correct that would get 2 different strains but no way to really identify the seeds as far as which male pollinated which bud sites :love_you_gesture:

Just my opinion but if possible wouldn’t it make more sense to separate the males from the females then collect the pollin and do a controlled pollination of the plants

@Smokesdaily I think that’s a good idea unless maybe he just wants an unidentifiable mix. I mean like OG said you won’t know what’s what by having two males in the same closet with females. But if you’re not worried about identifying The strand you can give it a try who knows you might grow some good weed. @DanB by collecting the pollen you can put it where you wanted to and then you would know which male it came from thus being able to identify each strand

I’m thinking cross the ATV back on itself with T he male plant open pollination to maybe three or four other (different)phenos … that would be a more structured and purposeful two projects in one !… anyone agree?:flushed_face:

@tydagod not sure, collected pollen should still be strong and viable if done right. But like I said I’m really new at all this, I’m sure some of the others, who have been doing this longer, could give you a better answer.
