One bean two babies

here I have train wreck it was a fem bean I did notice what I thought was a second tap root when potting but I didn’t realise one seed could produce two plants has anyone experienced this and how rare is such a thing

I have seen it and it’s a bit of a rarity for sure! Twins! You’re gonna have to try to separate them or else the bigger one will steal all the nutrients from the smaller one and she’ll die off. :+1:

I had a twin Chocoloupe seed last year, but one of the twins didn’t make it. Yours both look healthy, so I would try to separate them now before their roots start to tangle.

@MacGyverStoner grew two different girls in the same Hydro bucket. He called it “two girls, one cup” lol. They are even different strains. Did one take steal some nutes from the other? Idk lol, but they both lived  :innocent: :v:

These are his pics

2 different strains can be done, but I’m not sure I have ever seen twins that weren’t separated both survive. Not saying it can’t be done, just haven’t personally seen it.
@Hogmaster grew 2 seeds in one pot recently, but a bigger pot

Well I’ve never seen two sprouts from the same seed so idk either lol

the twins didn’t yield as much for me per plant but there were 2 of them so it made up

That’s awesome @Oldstoner! How was the potency? Same or one stronger than the other? :v:

If I was to take a guess, which that’s all this is lol, I would think their chances of not making it decrease as the plant gets older. I would think early life is where they are most vulnerable at this point.

You guys think you can separate the roots if they came from the same seed???

This is really why I like this place. It provides one the chances to see things unfold that never happen in their own garden :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, it can be done, but it has to be done early and you must be very gentle with the roots.

Had a set of twin sour diesels last year from ilgm! Bought 20 seeds had 21 plants…quite a few people said one would never make it but both of them did and both put out 12 Oz each! That’s may not seem like much but for a plant that wasn’t supposed to have made it…it was awesome smoke too

Instead of separating them why not feed them normally and spray the small ones leaves at the same time. This way they both get sufficient nutes… Or am I wrong?

I moved a bit of top soil they look to be growing right on top of each other and I think wich ether I tried to move would definitely die I’ve read up on how having this problem can force roots to grow more rapidly and my thoughts are the more Heather plant will win even if I let mother nature run it’s course so to speak
