Old Man.....Newbie Growerl8tr

This can depend on the strain too. You just kinda get a feel for when they will be ready to harvest. Just remember that the trichomes will turn amber on the leaves first so you can kinda judge how much time before trichomes on the buds start turning.

Are you splitting the stem and then flushing? I would start the flush before splitting and once you split I think the trichs will accelerate in production so you will really have to monitor on a daily basis… @skyroo1029

You gonna drill a hole in it or wrap it in 2 places and split the difference with a knife and wedge?

Which ever the case you could even put a rusty nail through the stem

I personally like to strap it in 2 places 2-3 inches apart and stick a box knife in and twist it . I like the drill idea seems to be really easy both work

Well I pulled the trigger and split the stem on the Purple Haze…as you can see I did the 2 zip ties and stuck a knife thru and twisted till I could shove the pencil thru …fingers crossed

Also started a couple of Clones off of the Blue Haze, took lower branches because of reading on the threads that they do better…again fingers crossed…

I have a close eye on the buds and from what I have read the buds will fatten up on the 4 day and not much after…I am going to experiment with it a bit, going to leave until harvest if it only increases the HTC a small amount above the norm…I figure I will be ahead.

Yes and the Smell between the 3 lady’s is dank…need to find me a 6in exhaust fan and charcoal filter. I have 400 square ft. to clean!!!
Or would a 4in fan and filter be sufficient?

You can actually see the difference with those pics! I think this one is “Bud of the month” worthy! Great job!

Next are my young girls 56 to 58 days from germination…

Those both above are the mainlining…
And that’s the Blue Haze…

I don’t know, maybe my eyes, but I don’t really see any obvious change. Maybe the pictures just don’t do the process justice. Looks freaking awesome though  !!!

Pistils havent receded. But the difference between photo 1 & 2 are easy to see. 3 looks… like 2. I tried to eyeball from the photo but its tough. I bet in person it’s obvious. Nice work tho. Whens the chop? Tomaro i presume?
