after using the L.S.T. can you untie the plant once it is set at a bent angle or leave it tied through the complete flowering stage ? Thanks.

@smellthat if you do untie it, she will attempt to straighten. Only after well into the flowering stage, when the stems have hardened then you could untie her. Most growers just leave them tied through the flowering stage.
Be sure to leave room for plant growth around the stems where it’s tied.

@Covertgrower is correct. I keep them tied through flower usually but you could remove the ties around week 6 of flower if you wanted and the plant should hold its shape at that point :v:

Thank you Mattybear. I figure since I am a beginner and already notice horizontal growth due to LST. I will leave it tied for the duration. However on the next grow with this new knowledge I will be investigating Scrog. I just wondered if scrog works with soil, since the majority I have seen is hydro. Thank you again for your reply. hope you had a great Christmas and an even better New Year ! Happy growing.

I grow in Promix which is a soil less medium that looks like soil and I’ve had good success scrogging my plants. Here’s my last plant in a scrog…

Ver nice, I will start studying this technique and start application on a small scale. I would never have considered a soil substitute. I make my own organic soil along the same principles I used in the past for growing tomatoes. Compost with bone & blood meal added as well as Epsom salt, potato peal, egg shells and coffee grounds, banana peals etc. I would r:v::v:eally like to stay as Organic as possible, but hey being new at this I need and appreciate the insight of you and others with the experience and patience to help others.
