I feel like I post a lot on here, but thank you everyone for all the help I get!
I’m in the 2nd week of flowering and I started noticing white and yellow spots on my fan leaves. I thought it could be some type of pest problem so I defoliated and sprayed Captain Jack’s Deadbug for about a week. Still noticing the same issues. I also think it can be a Potassium issue. I am using Jacks 321 and Silica Blast
Strain - White Widow / Killer A5 Haze
Seed Bank - ILGM / Multiverse Beans
Soil
5 Gallon Fabric Pots
PH - 6.0 - 6.5
Indoor
Light Source - HLG
Temps Stay Around 75 - 80 F
Humidity - 55%
Ventilation System - Yes
AC - Yes
De-humidifier - Yes
Co2 - No
If its lower leaves that are discolored and dying, thats to be expected. Shes using a whole lot more fuel now and will consume some leaves. As far as the white spots go, are they moving?
I use a PH stick before watering and usually water within that range. I haven’t checked PPM runoff. I’ve been going by this feeding chart online by KootMed, but it tells me what my PPM should be before Silica. I add Silica first to my feed so I’m not sure what the optimal range should be for that. These are some pictures from today. They seem to be doing fine. The back left was just defoliated today so that’s why she looks a bit rough.
You added peat and vermiculite, or the promix blend you’re using has peat and vermiculite?
They typical promix used hp or bx isn’t really a soil. They recommend a ph of 5.8-6.2 for most of their products. There is some good info on their YouTube channel if you have the time.
I do feel like i see pest and nutriet issues. Ppm and ph in/out should be compared to chase down potential nutrient issues. But nutrients haven’t chewed holes in leaves either.
I didn’t know that about promix, I did get the hp one and add the peat moss and vermiculite to it. For my next grow I think I’m going to go with FF Coco. I have a PPM stick, but not sure what to be aiming for. The chart I have gives me a range, but it’s before adding Silica to the mix and I start off by using it before Jack’s 321.
I’ve used the promix in the red bag last year i think it was called moisture control or something
Its not one typically used fir cannabis like HP but it was basically peat moss with a little perlite microbes.
I added alot of perlite to it and had decent success with it running a 5.8 ph in my autopots. Reservoir would drift upwards of 6.2-6.4ph and i did have some issues with my plants that i never really figured out they made it to harvest but im pretty sure it was ph related.
Everything was great till the last few weeks.
Going back to coco-coir and perlite and I’ve not experienced any issues like that.
