I have been reading about the “TIGER BLOOM” from FoxFarms. Mentioned in their info is the fact that it is “low” Ph for shelf life reasons, does this mean I will have to be adjusting Ph in each feeding??? How much of an issue i’s it to adjust? I was considering this product primarily due to my plans to use FFoF for my soil. I’m a newbe and a little insecure and trying not to complicate things beyond my knowledge. Thanks for info and suggustions.
It’s going to need to be PH’d but not a problem. Just go easy on it as FF is a little aggressive on their feeding schedule.
Tiger bloom would drop my water ph from 7.3 to 5.9. It is pretty acidic. You’ll definitely go through more ph up when you get to flowering. During vegetation, you’ll be using a little ph down as the big bloom and grow big didn’t have much affect on my base water ph. In FFOF, give it about 4 weeks before using any major nutes (you can use a couple tsp of big bloom as there isn’t a whole lot in that stuff)
Wasn’t planning on using any nuts till flower (have read that FFoF has pretty much what’s needed up to flowering??? ) just don’t want to open a “can of worms” on myself and create an issue for myself so early in my expierance ) trying to keep it simple as I can as I learn and understand a little more. Is their any nuts that won’t mess up Ph and work as well as the Tiger Bloom without have nine to mess with Ph???
You’ll always need to mess with ph. Unless you had a water only super soil than maintained the correct ph. FFOF likes to sit at 5.9-6.1 so I was constantly adjusting ph of solution between 6.5-7.0, depending on runoff.
Phuck, phuck,phuck nothing simple!
You probably have the second easiest way to grow (the first being throw seeds in a field and come back later). That said; I would do a couple of things: as soon as transition, give them a jolt of Tiger Bloom or Cha Ching or Beastie Bloomz for the P an K boost. That is another indicator for the plants to do their job. Just one dose and see how they respond. Other than that the soil is pretty complete and you may not need anything for the rest of the grow.
Ya just my habit of solving problems before they come up! Or at least trying to. LOL.
@Myfriendis410 has spoken well. I also use all the FF products including the FFOF,FFHP mixture I plan to use for my next grow. I’ve discovered quite a lot here and am the better for it. Unfortunately back in the 70’s and 80’s we were limited to High Times Mag. which I was forced to hide because I was a reefer addict. Lol…the perception back then was also limited to the media and the single movie that demonized Marijuana use. Reefer Madness was the title. Funny movie really. Anyway, I have grown but wasn’t concerned about the science behind the plant and grew as a regular plant such akin to a tomato plant. Read everything you can my friend and research Everything, compare answers and try. Sometimes it’ll get frustrating and you’ll mess up. Unfortunately the beans are expensive but great advice comes right from ILGM and its professional attitude is a pleasant change. R.Bergmon was originally from Amsterdam and I certainly trust anything from the Netherlands. I too had a lot of questions about ph. I’m going to follow advice from the people here. I consider myself a newbie and can’t get enough information. Watch YouTube. Recommend typing search bar whichever seed bank or products you’ll be using. Hopefully the visual lessons will help ease the anxiety. Happy Growing my friend!!
