Lookin good as always my brother, you got it dialed in both indoors and out. On another note has anyone heard anything about @HappyHydroGrower . I hope he’s okay.

I havent heard from him, i hope someone has his contact info. and can reach out. I hope he is well also, and things are good. You can run the fan motor and filter outside the tent if you need the head room in the tent. :sunglasses: :peace_symbol:

. mean put the carbon filter and exhaust outside the tent? Now im confused i thought it had to be in the tent with the plant, lol. I hope someone is able to reach to him as well

The conversations you two had were very informative and the concepts he brought were worth considering. In fact I probably apply some of them more now because I have a better understanding of using Jacks.

@robert365 yes just put the flex hose through an outlet in the tent, with the fan and filter outside with the flow pulling out of the tent.

He did help me understand better, or make me focus more on NPK knowledge. When the plant needed what and how much. And especially how less is best instead of pumping the plant full of food, potentially causing a lock out and you think you have a deficiency. He had stuff to share for sure. :sunglasses: :peace_symbol:

@NUG61 Greetings. Will the charcoal filter work the same. Instead of sucking air in thru it. To, pushing air out thru it ? For instance. I place mines inside. Will I just have to switch places ? Filter on the other side and hose on The other one ?

The smell is getting trapped in the charcoal whether you suck air into the filter or push it out. So put what you have outside the tent and turn your fan motor around.

Ok i see what you mean in the drawing, but i thought the carbon filter drew in tbe air and the smell filtered it the it went through the fan to flex pipe outside so your saying put the flex pipe thu the opening to the fa. Then to carbon filter outside of tent , so instead of filter sucking air out , ill be sucking air out thru the fan then into the filter will it work backwards like that without ruining the filter?

Hi @robert365. I have Xfinity fans /filters and instructions show they can be used to push or pull. I have been pushing out through the carbon filters (as needed) for two years. No problems.

Best to you!

Ty JaneQP, I really appreciate that i was concerned about smell and all seeing how im using spare bedroom until my perm room is finished, so in essence id be sucking the heat out from the tent thru the duct into exhaust fan then into carbon filter blowing into room outside of tent correct, didnt know you could force the air out thru filter like that, but it will save me tones of head room for height which i need. Once my perm room is finished ill just vent it to attice with six in. Hole for ducting to go through ceiling so height wont be an issue

I think pushing out is the better option. Maybe it gets a lot more air into fan and push the filter. Instead of sucking thru the filter. Maybe it sucks less air thru the filter. That just me overthinking here.

@Randyrican that actually makes a lot of sense, because you’d think it’ll be harder to suck the air through the filter than out, as opposed to pushing it out the filter. Maybe ill get better negative pressure in my.tent that way as well. Only concern would be the noise from the exhaust fan on the outside of the tent instead of inside the tent
