Hi, I am new at growing and rescued some plants from a friend. The plants were not developing past the germination phase (barely starting a second set of leaves after 7 weeks). I replanted, hydrated, fertilized, nourished the roots and got them restarted. This one looks different (picture attached). It is a wedding cake autoflower from ilgm. I don’t remember seeing any other plants with flowers coming out of bulbs. Is this something normal or should I be worried about it. I moved it out fearing that it could affect others as I have 3 plants in final stage of flowering and am getting ready to harvest my first grow. Thank you for the feedback and help

Welcome!!! Nice rescue! Do you have some full plant shots? Those pistils put those particular flowers at well over a month before harvest. And the fatter parts are swollen calyxes. Totally normal. And auto flowers are weird and can grow funny. Just look out for nanners and balls.
That happens to autos when they get stressed out. All types of stress can cause that. Also, autos usually don’t veg for long. If you bloom longer, they should fill in.
That looks like an auto clone.
Honestly, and I’m not trying to be a downer, that won’t produce much at all. It looks like the stress it’s been through may have cause it to try and reveg. Autos have their own set life cycle and life span. Those flowers have a good 6 weeks to fully develop, but I don’t know that the plant itself will hold that long. I could be totally wrong, but it just doesn’t look like a very happy ending for her.
And autos can’t be cloned can they?
They can but they’re the same age as the plant you took it from so it’s still going to flower at the same time.
Yeah that plant wont do much for you @Mbenita. Autos don’t do well with stress due to their timeline.
Thanks. My hope were not high but I had to try when I saw them dying. One of the three plants I recovered is doing well. The other one is in a worse state than this one. They are not clones but plants that did not get passed the seedlings state. I will see if they change. It already doubled in size over the last week (I know it’s not saying much). I was more worried of a sex change as I don’t know how it is caused but read somewhere that high stress could cause that. Thank you all for the super quick feedback and help! Found that out once when I cloned what I thought was a photo. The clone rooted and went into flower reveg. The mother was already in the flower tent by then and finished 2 weeks ahead of her counterparts which didn’t make sense at the time. Now that I reflect back that’s exactly what happened
If they were photos I’m sure you would be successful nursing them back to health. Bad part about autos is the clock is always ticking.
Exactly what @BobbyDigital said. Mine looked exactly like yours although it was a little bigger and ended up finishing on 18/6 with about 10g yield. Mine was mixed in a photo pack not from ilgm
