Northern Lights autos, flowering stage

Hey there just wanted to post my grow and see how I’m doing if I need to adjust to more dark hours or move lighting, they’re doing pretty good.

Lookin like they are done stretching and started flowering, wondering how these buds look using fox farm soil with 054 bloom. I want dense nugs. I have a timer on, I wake up turn the second set of lights on manually. I can’t afford a better light right now so this is it for now. Any suggestions? Just wanting optimal yield and density. Noticed tiny yellowing tips so I moved lights back seems to be okay now! Thanks!

Looking good. The slightly yellowing tips are “painted nails” and mean your at your nutrient max. A lot of us strive for that, just make sure it doesn’t spread further into the leaves. :call_me_hand:t2:

I would say go ahead and and remove only leaves that are covering any budding sites. Shouldn’t be many. Plant looks great!

Yield and density is going to be limited by your lighting. The tips aren’t indications of too much light but you’re at the max for your nutrients. I would lower the lights again to help raise your ppfd.

Okay sounds good thanks! Are those the leaves poking out from the buds or the longer ones?

Leave the ones with the buds those are your sugar leaves. You wanna do the longer fingered leaves, those would be your fan leaves.

I circled one of the leaves for you. That will be your fan leaves. Remove them ones. Only if they’re hindering any light from getting to any bud site. Mainly would be towards the inner part of the plant.

Awesome thanks! Very helpful, as you guys warned today one plant is showing so yellow on inner part of the leave probably too much fert 054 in the water a few days ago. Also I’m noticing on the sugar leaves on top there looks like with dots hope it’s not mold, let me know if that’s normal too. Thanks!

So to see if you’re having some trouble do a ph test and ppm/Ec test of your mix going in. Water until about 20% runoff and get those ph numbers and ppm/Ec as well and then post the numbers here. We’ll be able to see if there is too much sitting in there. If so it’s not the end of the world just give water for a few waterings.

Painted nails (colored tips) usually indicate that you have maxed out on nutes and found your sweet spot. Good possibility you went a little over and it made the plant throw a fit.

If you have a jewelry loop you can get a close up of your leaves and see if any unwanted friends are in there. I don’t think that is the problem though. I’ll tag a buddy in see what he come up with ! @Gl1tch

My guess is that you may be told to not do anything and hold off a few more days and just monitor the leaves and make sure it doesn’t spread to the rest of the plant.

Looks like your starting to get some tip burn, not just painted nails. That combined with the spots near the top of the plant could be a Ca issue creeping up on ya. Those EC/PPM and PH numbers will help us nail it down. Do you see any deformed leaves?
It would also be helpful to know RH and temp around the plant, water source, and a complete list of any nutes or supplements you’ve been giving her.

Just got 5 gallon bags with fox farm soil in there with distilled only, can’t afford a fan or new lights rn. Some leaves are slightly deformed. I have only given them 054 flora bloom in with the distilled twice and the second time seems have been too much. I’ve since backed the lights off some more, and been watering way less. Are they going to need more darkness at this point? They are autos so I have had relatively the same light schedule the whole time, to make up for the lack of a better light. I have no way to get a ph reading rn either. Just bare bones I have the shitty thermo unit that breaks sometimes that came with the tent. One plant is currently look way better than the rest though. starting to see orange pistils.

Not even sure if I should use this silly looking white net thing
