Noob question about nodes

I don’t touch the fan leaves till they get much larger than that . In fact I don’t do anything but top at this point but I grow photos . It also looks really small like it’s maybe a couple weeks in veg . Unless maybe your growing auto? Which I don’t grow so maybe why that’s why you say it’s starting to flower?

You questions are not bothering anyone here! And if it does they are the ones who need to find somewhere else to go. I had better not tell them where that is here.

I don’t remove bigger leaves on an auto unless they are fully covered up at the bottom.

Your plant will now explode with growth and when it stretches into flower, then you can look at slowly trimming off the bottom third of growth.

Beautiful and healthy looking by the way.

Here is my mess… totally different problem.

View her leaves as solar panels :slightly_smiling_face: the more leaf surface you have the more light energy she can absorb. the smaller inner leaves are for the residual light that penetrates beyond the canopy, I only defoliate lightly for air flow and to prevent any leaf stacking (multiple leaves sitting on top of one another) as condensation likes to build there. There are tons of opinions on defoliation, this is what works for me.

For the feeding question… do you have a TDS tester and PH pen? Essential tools when doing even a simple watering. It allows you to test your water and monitor what your feeding and hydrating them with.

Thanks. I don’t have any of them items you mentioned there. The water I feed is tap water De chlorinated.

Greetings all. Am I doing this right ? LST. Just trying to get them areas more light. I believe I can get a few nice colas doing this.

Pretty plant.

You really need to tie the highest spot (which is the top) down gently so it is close to the height of the rest of the plant

Take it easy and pull it down over the course of a couple of days so you don’t snap her off.

Will begin today to push down a bit. Even if I don’t make it even. At least will try to flatten a bit. Are the bread ties ok? Not tying them too hard. Giving space

Check this out brother.

Yes, exactly. Some is better than nothing and be very careful… Once in flower they are more brittle.

Good luck… at some future grow down the road, you might consider super cropping. Scary at first. but once you do one, you probably won’t go back. We can walk you thru it.

That’s is scary. Holy crap. LoL. This was a slow grow. So I did not wanted to mess with it so early. Now I think I can mess with it a bit.

You are progressing EXACTLY as I did!

I had a full cupboard of weed from the first grow in storage before I ever tried super cropping and then only on 1 of 4 plants in my 2nd grow.

They talked me thru it here and I tried it and it was wildly successful… basically flattens the whole damn plant at one fell swoop!

I was shaking in my boots and scared shitless.

Once you do one and get the feel of it, it become second nature.

I want to do that. Working on a bigger tent. I got three plants in this little tent. 3 by 2. I’m going to run into trouble with these 3.

That’s a good problem to have.

The goal of my first grow of 4 plants was to literally not kill all 4 and just end up with at least one ounce.

I was a newbie big time

Now I’m on my 4th grow and it is so smooth.

Good luck! Great group of growers here.

 Thanks bro. I have grown to appreciate you. you a very good help. Ok now. See this. I think I did enough for the day.

Bended her a bit more.

That is perfect!!!

Now wait a day and pull that down a little more then.

Amazingly well done!

That sends hormones to the lower branches to get cracking and catch the hell up!

Also as the same time. Started her on some open sesame by fox farm. I used this product before on a outdoor grow and it did wonders.
