@bob31 @Screwauger is it possible to have the nodes to close together? I know you don’t want them to stretch but is there a not enough stretch to this equation? I’ve got feeder leaves then right on top of that I’ve got the singLe leave and then a set of leaves then a set of leaves with absolute no room inbetween. Shold I raise my light a little to incourge a little height? I do want them to be short and bushy. Also @Covertgrower @garrigan62

I think in another week or two, it will stretch out and you’ll hardly notice. I had nodes really close together and it’s making a great looking plant. I would take a picture but the plants went to sleep.

@Sirsmokes - I have the same concern. I’m about due for my first fimm or top, but my nodes are right on top of each other. Btw, I’m growing blueberry photo. Here’s a photo of my plant…

@HappyCamper mine hasn’t got like that yet but that’s my concern. Mine is half that but I’m doing my seedlings wit 100w cfl like 3 in from plant I was concerned about not allowing too. Once I get my 4th or 5th node I’m going to fim myself right now I’m at 2 of the full leaves sets keep me updated how yours is after you fim or top please
In Veg, you want the shortest plant with the most nodes as possible… Each node = bud site… the more nodes the more buds…
Your plant is going to stretch if your roots are good…
So… Do you want a 5 node four footer, or an 20 node four footer?
Nodes = Bud Sites… You want to grow bud right?

Right on thank you for that yes were all in it to grow the best and most… I just wasnt sure so I figured I would ask the more experienced people for advice. Thank you @garrigan62
I was just going to weigh in on this too. I have a couple of Sour Diesel plants in flower and one of them really grew tight nodes in veg. Now that plant is loaded! There’s one cola on it that’s bigger than a spray paint can.

@Sirsmokes this was the plant I was telling you about. It’s a white widow photo plant. She remained super compact at the top for most of the veg period, and really didn’t stretch out until the last couple of days. Now look at her! Tons of bud sights.

Very nice very nice I’m going to update my journal with pics in a couple days there’s a couple already up. But they got about 7 weeks before I move them to my flower box that’s when I’m going to let them go crazy.
That one is three days past the first week of flowering. That’s why she stretched so much. She’s a little behind compared to the others in there, but she’ll catch up I’m sure. I also have 3 OG Kush two short, and one that towers over the others.
Yea I’ve got og cush bag seed in their 5th week of flower I’m not happy with the lighting so I just ordered a couple galaxy hydro lights at lEast they will have a decent light to finish with
