Nine weeks in and still having issues

@Holmes I posted above and thought I tagged you but I guess not. Any thoughts on the tp? And light distance? Thanks!

Thanks. I’ll probably find something just need to find something clean.

@garrigan62 I read some posts that you made about sealed rooms and co2 supplementation. Can you offer any advise as to why my room would have such high co2 without any supp? When I go in its usually around 1200ppm but if I stay for a while I can get it as high as 2000 in a half hour. I’ve check other rooms adjacent to where I have them and they are at the normal 400ppm. When I tp to living soil i was in there first a while and for several days it was 3300-3600. After a few days it calmed down but is still above 1000 every day. Wondering if this could be part of my problems with slow growth if it’s too high.

Most indoor grows go 4-4.5mos. so you are a little over half way.

Not in soil, I use coco and I usually veg a plant 2-4 weeks depending on the plant.

Which is why you want to veg these a longer.
You want them to be as healthy and as big possible before you start flower.
You can TP anytime you want but keep those things in mind. If TP goes well they don’t miss a beat, if not…?
As for your lights you need to get a feel for how the plant is accepting all variables. If it is growing , eating, and seems happy then lower lights 3 or 4 inches and see how she responds.
How high are your lights now?

Thanks a mil. I’ll plan to see how they go for the next few weeks and plan to tp then wait a week or two to flip. The lights are about 34in. I almost lowered them last night but psyched myself out. Will do later when lights go on again.

Their website says 15-18"! So I wouldn’t be afraid to try 24" and see how they react.

@Holmes I had them closer and they were tacoing and looking maybe like they had too much light and that was at 29in - who know if that was it. They are looking so much better today after a good watering two days ago. I’m thinking every three to four days with this much will get by for the next week or two. I’m moving them to the floor on a pallet for better air flow at the base. And I’m moving the lights several inches closer and I’ll pay close attention to the looks of them.

Can you tell me if I messed up when topping and how to top this again? Several other look the same way like the node didn’t form right. Some look clear this one (and others that look like it) I think I should wait until another stem pops and top that where it’s circled. @merlin44 too please and thank you.

I think it Will be fine, it will have an additional top.

@merlin44 @Holmes here is another pic. The circled one will be the extra top correct? The arrow is where ill top again?

This will be the last time I do it and I’ll start some lst once I figure out exactly what that means :joy:.

Here is an overall pic. They look so much better. Let’s hope at their night time tomorrow they aren’t getting burned with the light closer.

Never mind. I think I figured it out with the second topping after staring at them for a bit.

@Holmes @merlin44 sorry for more questions but I was doing some lst to one of my fems and I split one side a little. Do I just leave it to heal or take off the tie and let it heal that way?

It will heal, try some plastic gardeners tape to give more support and hold it together.

Pull it up tight and slap some Aloe on the wound and do as Merlin said, or you can use E-tape because it stretches. After a couple weeks there will be a knuckle form and you may see a growth spurt from it too. I bend and even crush them on purpose to every plant I grow!

Just to clarify when you say pull it up tight you mean take of the ties and basically push the split together and let it heal that way?

Once you get it up and Aloe on it use the tape to hold it in place, you can even attach a “splint” of some sort!

@Joe44. WhenI broke Gary I covered the split with honey, tied the broken pieces together, sprayed wound daily and in two weeks she was back to her ornery self.

I barely split just a med crack at the split. It does not go into the main stem at all. Can I just reinforce the main stem with tape and leave that wound open so I can keep the lst or is it best to seal it up?

So did you take off your ties or leave them? I’d like to keep the training on if I can. What did you spray it with? I’ve got some good local raw honey but no aloe so maybe I’ll try the honey.

I took off her tie down while she healed and continues LST. She was much stronger after the break healed.

I would pull it up, you can come up the stem a little and supercrop it to get your shape back!
