16b. Size and temperature of solution in reservoir?
Always try to upload a clear picture in white light of any issues you may have to allow the community to identify your issue.
Crispy… how much light and how close? How much are you feeding? Temps? A few better “whole plant” pics might help
Usually 12/12 LEDs were on 100 but backed down to 75% . Using the recommended amount of nutrients every other week Flora series. 82 degrees daytime / 72 at night
Is it just that 1 plant with everything being the same? What’s the wattage of the light at 100%? The rest look ok to me
Yes, just that one plant. 120W. I dont know how close it is to harvest, so I didnt want to lose it if there was a major problem
I’m not sure what to tell ya, 120w shouldn’t fry those leaves that bad. Hopefully someone else chimes in.
In the meantime double check your basics. Ph,ppm, humidity, temps etc…
Looks like heat stress or possibly root problems
What’s your DLI?
12/12 . Been that way for weeks
What is your reservoir temperature? Are you changing out solutions and cleaning reservoir every 10 days? Are you maintaining a ph of 5.8-6.0?
It seems to me that leaf browning in a hydro system can be due to reservoir issues as well as nutrients issues. I have found it necessary to add peroxide to the reservoir when it’s temperature is above 68 degrees.
5 gal buckets, temps are usually around 65 degrees. Ph is 5.8 to 6.0 . Rotating water/nutrients every other week
Here is the most telling picture. The burning is effecting the leaf edges and not just the tips.
3 Most common causes are
1 Overwatering
2 Potassium Deficiency
3 Nutrient burn.
Overwatering seems unlikely as its a hydroponic grow. Unless the method is not letting the roots get air in that one bucket. Something like a plugged bubbler in a deep water system.
Nutrient burn usually burns the tips and works its way back.
Potassium Deficiency is my guess. Sometimes you can have a plant that just needs more of a certain nutrient. Assuming they are all fed from the same reservoir, this one must want more K
Here is a typical symptom pic
Thanks for the info. I guess I need to figure out how far I am from harvest and try to correct as much as I can
Magnesium Toxicity? Those dark green leaves tells me your definitely not light on any nutes. Excess is my opinion. How far are you till the flushing process before harvest?
Have u been foliar spraying Neem or nutes on those leaves or anything?
I havent sprayed anything on them. Im still fuzzy on how close I am to harvest. I have not put any nutrients in since last weekend, just topped of buckets with fresh water.
5 gal hydro can be a PITA. The girls can drink a gallon a day so it maintaining balance can get crazy.
Also a “5 gallon” bucket is only actually dealing with 3.5 gal. Easy to over nute if the calculations are wrong. I use 15 gal tubs and 4 inch net pots with 8-9 gallons.
I’d suggest a full drain flush and refill. Then redo nutes for flowering levels.
